How does the Promo Code work?

Answer

The code not only tells the resort that your room is being set aside for the Todd wedding, but it also provides you with a mini discount. By using the code, you can book your room for $1. Your card will not be charged until 30 days out from the date of your stay. You have up until that 30-day mark to cancel with no repercussions. This is a great way for our guests to set aside the room they want without fully committing if they're on the fence regarding attending our wedding. That way your dream room doesn't get booked before you snag it! Here is how to book: 1. Go to https://www.finestresorts.com/ 2. Select "Finest Playa Mujeres" under Destination, Check-in and Check-out dates, Number of guests, and add the Promo Code. 3. Click “CHECK AVAILABILITY” 4. Make sure you get the message: “Promotional code applied” (hint - it should be a box under each room description) 5. Select your room and click continue 6. Fill out the necessary information for the booking ***hint*** where it says "mandatory arrival time" insert an estimated time. You will set up a transfer later through a link on the booking confirmation email. It is okay if it is not the correct time that you put down on your booking. 7. In the comments box, please add the promo code. 8. Make sure you receive a confirmation email

Will the hotel provide shuttle transfer from the airport?

Answer

Yes, Finest Playa Mujeres will shuttle you from the airport and back. These use a transportation company called Seasons Transportation. Upon booking your room, they request general times you will be arriving in Cancun and when you will be leaving. This is to set up their shuttle service. If you book a flight after your room (which we did, not a problem at all) then on your hotel booking confirmation email there should be a link on the bottom that says "schedule transfers". Click on this link and it should direct you to email Seasons directly. They will ask you for your hotel confirmation number, passenger names, flight numbers, and flight times. Once they receive this information, they will send you a confirmation email of your pick-up and return times with instructions on how to find your driver.

Do I have to stay at the resort?

Answer

Yes and no. You may choose to stay at another property and travel to the resort for the wedding however our resort does charge a $100 visitor fee (per day) to those staying outside of the property. This property is very strict on security. If you are choosing to stay outside of the property we respect your decision however, you are responsible for the visitor fee. We STRONGLY advise against staying off the property. If the resort is at full capacity they will not allow you to purchase these visitor passes and you will not be allowed to enter the property.

The website is asking me to pay full up-front, is this correct?

Answer

No, this is not correct if the website is asking you to pay full up-front. Please triple-check that the promotional code is applied. If applied, then it should ONLY give you the option to reserve your room for $1. If this is correct and it is asking you to still pay up-front, please look to the bottom left of your screen. It should say - "For cancellations of bookings received 24 hours or more prior to arrival, no cancellation fee is due. Cancellations received within 24 hours or less prior to arrival will result in a cancellation fee equal to the total of the entire stay. Please be aware that no refunds will be issued for any unused portion of your stay. Our cancellation policies are applicable at all times without exception. Credit card details are collected in order to guarantee your booking. Please note the maximum number of reservations guaranteed under the same credit card is five (5). The full amount corresponding to your reservation will be charged in full thirty (30) days prior to your arrival day to the credit card provided during the booking process. If you book within seven (7) days of your arrival date, your payment must be made when you check in at the hotel. When you make a reservation through us, you will see a hold for $1.00 placed on your credit card by the property name. This is a standard part of our security validation process, with no charge to you, and you might receive a notification from your bank."

How long should I book my trip for?

Answer

Up to you! It is our wish that our loved ones make this the most memorable experience for them as well. If that means a short two-day trip that is great! If that means a week-long vacation, then even better! Chandler and I will be staying a total of 7 nights at the resort. Our only request is that you arrive at Finest Playa Mujeres by 3 pm on Tuesday, June 18th. If you are not able to make it to the resort by this day, please let the couple know so that they will not count you in the headcount for the Welcome Party.

I've never been to an all-inclusive before, how does it work?

ALL INCLUSIVE is ALL INCLUSIVE. It is the most amazing detail. All you can eat, drink, and party your little heart out. What is there to do on the property?

There are tons of food options on the property as well as an in-house catamaran/snorkeling company. There is a swim-up bar as well as a bar right off of the beach. Truly endless opportunities for a fun trip!

Are my kids allowed at this wedding?

As much as we adore your children, chandler and I request that this wedding be a child-free wedding. We understand that this may interfere with travel plans so if this is the reason you can not attend our wedding we respect your decision. We ask that you respect ours as well.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We wish to keep our wedding intimate. The bride and groom have sent out plus one additions in the invites. If you did not receive one in your wedding invite we are deeply sorry however we hope you understand. If you wish to bring a plus one to Mexico to make the most of your trip then that is fantastic however, only guests who have received invites or plus one cards will be a part of our big day.

Welcome Party: Beach Casual. Pick an outfit you can sit in the sand in! Wedding Day: Semi-formal attire. Please no white. Be conscience that June in Cancun might be a tad warm.

Semi-formal is a step more casual than formal. We ask for no shorts, Hawaiian shirts, or jeans. The weather is going to be warm so please dress accordingly. What are the differences between the different room categories?

Answer

This resort has three tiers of room selections. There is finest, finest club, and excellence. Finest rooms - Most basic rooms, general beach access. Just because this is the most basic type does not mean it is any less fancy. Chandler and I stayed in this room type for our site visit and were blown away by the features of our room. You have access to the general beach area as well as most restaurants. There is one restaurant that is reserved only for the finest club or excellence members. Finest Club - These rooms include more access to the finest club-specific features including one restaurant called Dommo and a finest club-specific lounge. Excellence - Adult-only rooms. Must be 18 or older to stay in these rooms. There are excellence-specific areas on the beach with a specific excellence-level beach bar. Please note that if you stay in this room type, anyone who is not at the excellence level will not be allowed to visit your room. We strongly advise against this room type for our family members or members of the wedding party. This is because the bride and groom will not be allowed to visit your room.

I see there is an Excellence resort next to Finest Playa Mujeres, is this the same as the excellence rooms?

This is a truly confusing naming mishap if you ask me. There is a resort directly next door to Finest Playa Mujeres called Excellence Playa Mujeres. To add to the confusion, on the Finest Playa Mujeres property has "Excellence" rooms. There is no correlation between the two. If you book under the website - finestresorts.com - then you are booking the correct property even if you select an excellence room. Do NOT book at the other property Excellence Playa Mujeres. Finest will consider this an "outside resort" and not grant you access to the property unless a $100 visitor pass is purchased which will not be available if Finest is at max capacity.
