Where is the wedding?

Answer

The bride and groom have made the decision to be married sooner in the church on November 7th, 2020 at St. Gertrude the Great in Ohio. All are welcome to attend but we understand if that may not be possible. The reception will remain the same at Knoebels in Denver, CO.

When should I RSVP by?

Are kids invited?

Answer

Children are welcome to come to the ceremony! For the reception, we will have a separate room at the reception hall for all children under 13 years old. There will be a couple of babysitters with games, crafts, and movies to keep the kids entertained. You are welcome to visit your children and keep an eye on them whenever you'd like. However, we ask that you please be respectful of the bride and groom's decision and keep children in the kid room. Any nursing children can remain with the parents.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There's plenty of free parking in the church lot for the ceremony! However, for the reception site, parking is located in the parking garage at the University of Denver and is $2.00/hr per car (maximum for parking fee is $10.00 total, even if you park longer than 5 hours). If possible, we recommend carpooling to save on parking fees. You can pay at the kiosk in the parking garage with a card!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes!! Please do! The bride is dairy-free so she knows how frustrating it is if you have an allergy and are limited with food options. The chefs at Knoebels are absolutely capable of accommodating dietary restrictions but please email us after you RSVP at stevenandvictoriacerise@gmail.com to let us know so we can give the chefs plenty of notice.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 12:00pm (Noon) but please be sure to be at least 15 minutes early! The rosary will start a half-hour before the ceremony.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Women and girls should please dress in a modest fashion with their heads covered (chapel veils are available at the entrance to the Church, or you may choose to wear a scarf or hat). We kindly request that you refrain from wearing slacks, short skirts, sleeveless and low-cut dresses as they do not meet the norm of Christian modesty. Men and boys should not dress in casual or recreational clothes.

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

There will be a cash bar during cocktail hour and during the wedding reception. Guests are welcome to purchase their own alcoholic beverages. Water, iced tea, lemonade, coffee, and hot tea will be provided.
