Maid of Honor
Cayla and Jana have been best friends since 7th grade at Dake. They were quick friends after their discovery of their shared ridicule of others and enjoyment of a good house party or bonfire. Jana's family owned Murph's (RIP Mr. Murphy <3) located close to the jr. high and high school and they would often walk there from school to eat mozzarella sticks. Jana and Cayla spent many weekends at Jana's house and many summers at her cottage together. Since Cayla's move to AZ, Jana and Cayla have kept in touch through fun trips to AZ, Vegas, CA, Turks and Caicos, and Cayla's trips home. No trip home was complete without a stay at Jana (and Geoff)'s house, at least one trip to Murph's, and a Bills game if they played at home.

Julie and Cayla became fast friends through Cayla's high school bf (thanks Steve!). Julie was essentially Cayla's college roommate; though she did not actually live in the dorms, they were always together. They were goldshlager-drinking dancing queens through all the downtown Rochester bars. Julie has come to visit Cayla in AZ and was able to experience the fabulously filthy salt river. She has also participated in many of the Vegas trips, Turks and Caicos, and always participates in the shenanigans when Cayla returns home to Rochester. After flying the trapezee in Turks, Julie and Cayla strongly considered joining the circus.

Cailin and Cayla became fast friends at their first job at Pontillos Irondequoit in HS . After graduating from being "phone bitches", Cailin and Cayla continued their friendship through many fun adventures and late night rendezvous. Cailin and Cayla are both huge Buffalo Bills fans and have gone to a few games together over the years, mostly in the dead of Buffalo winters. Though Cailin moved away to NYC and Cayla to AZ, they remained besties through traveling to Vegas, Turks and Caicos, and trips back to Rochester (typically at Murphs). In 2015 Cailin came out to AZ to run a half marathon with Cayla. During that trip, they may or may not have met Luke Bryan at a pool party in Scottsdale, and had a little too much fun that resulted in dog bed and bathtub water naps. Cailin and Cayla stay in touch throughout the year with Bills banter and celebrating wins as often as they let us.

Taylor and Cayla met in grad school in 2013, they were in the same cohort, so they spent Thursday nights together for 3.5 years! In addition for their shared interest in therapy, Taylor and Cayla became easy friends over their love of football, beer, puppies, and two-stepping. Taylor and Cayla can easily annoy those around them when they get to giggling, as their cackles can get in sync. Colby particularly loved Taylor, though he mispronounced it Tailor, and we always let him know. Taylor's husband Seth moved her away to CA AND TX, making Cayla very sad. We figured it out though, and made it a priority to travel to many places together throughout the years: in addition to AZ, CA, and TX, they have visited Tennessee, Seattle, Rochester, Hawaii, Vegas, and Mexico. Cayla and Taylor learned they travel easy together, and Cayla can always count on Taylor to bring what she forgets, because she always overpacks!
Bridesmaid
Roni and Cayla met at work in 2015. The interaction started with Cayla's serious concern that Roni may be in an abusive relationship after seeing her busted lip and bruising one day at work. Rest assured, the bumps and bruises turned out to be a result of Roni's difficult time staying upright when she has too many beers! Roni and Cayla (and Mal, Roni's now husband) frequently shut down work happy hours, solidifying Roni's alibi, and their friendship. Roni and Cayla bonded further over their love of their small dogs, both named Peanut (Pnut) and Dave Mathew's Band. At first, Cayla was so sad that Mal moved her bestie Roni to Seattle, but later it just became another place to visit. Cayla and Roni have kept in touch by celebrating each other's birthdays together each year, and frequent trips back and forth to AZ and Seattle. Cayla was honored to be Roni's bridesmaid at her wedding last year in Hawaii and excited for Roni to return the favor! If you hear Roni (and Mal) refer to Cayla as "Carla", do not be alarmed, there is a story here.

Cayla, Mackenzie, and Kijuana met at GRASP, a group for overdose related loss. Sadly, Mackenize lost her sister and Kijuana lost two of her brothers, all in 2018. The three of us became sisters in grief after many shared tears and celebrations since 2018. We have lovingly called our bond "The Dead Siblings Club", a club no one truly wants to be a part of. Cayla credits much of her healing to these girls and they will play an integral part in supporting Cayla on her big day during the moments she is really missing Colby.
Honorary Bridesmaid
Brittany and Cayla were instant friends, meeting through a mutual friend in 2008, shortly after Cayla's move to AZ. Brittany lived in CA at the time, but decided to make the move to AZ after all of the fun. Brittany and Cayla were two-time roommates and hosted many pool parties for the Majerles crew. Brittany and Cayla refer to each other as soul sisters, as their friendship has always been more like family. After Brittany's move back to CA, she met her husband Flavio who easily became one of Cayla's favorite people. For a long time, we were the three amigos during many weekend treks to visit CA and their visits to AZ to goto the Sun Devils games and visit Colb (who they lovingly call Coltron). Brittany and Flavio's move to Tennessee meant further travel to keep in touch, but that didn't stop us, just another place to visit. Brittany got exciting news that she is expecting a sweet new bundle of joy this fall, so unfortunately she won't be able to make it to the wedding. She will be there in spirit!
Best Man
Dustin met Josh in junior high after Dustin complimented Josh’s sick storm troopers shirt. Dustin and Josh’s brothers were friends so they occasionally hung out. They both loved skateboarding at the time and would make sweet skate videos behind random grocery stores. In high school they dabbled in music and even had one of their songs played over the loud speaker a couple of times, which made Josh a little embarrassed. They loved to go party and do the usual stuff. Josh moved to California for 5 or so years, but Dustin didn’t mind because he would have a nice place to visit when he went there. Luckily, Josh moved back to Arizona with his lovely wife, Vanessa a few years ago. Dustin could not be happier to have Josh as his best man.

Dustin and Mike met back in the days when Dustin thought he was going to be a rockstar. They would hang out at Mike’s very interesting houses and party until the morning. There was one night when Dustin, Mike, and Josh thought it was a good idea to toilet paper someone’s tree. When Josh threw his roll of toilet paper he farted at the same time and tripped-good times. When Dustin was in between jobs he would go watch Mike play resident evil for hours while drinking some delicious 40oz Mickeys. Mike eventually moved to California with Josh where he became a very hunky successful firefighter. Mike comes back to AZ to visit family, so Dustin gets to see Mike pretty often and he is grateful for it!

Dustin met Kevin at DWG (his job of 13 years before Fan Duel) in 2009. Kevin had more knowledge than anyone should ever care to know about slot machines, and helped Dustin grow in his career as a result. Kevin and Dustin both like to gamble and have been to the casino together more times than Dustin would like to admit. Dustin and Kevin took a sporadic trip to the lovely beautiful Laughlin, where they had one of the best weekends they could ever remember. Right before they were leaving Dustin was waiting for Kevin to get ready and decided to gamble. Dustin won $10,000 dollars playing keno and they both looked at each other and said “lets go to Vegas”! Dustin and Kevin still like to go gamble and both still work in the industry together.

Another great person Dustin had the privilege to spend a whole year with was the great Canadian Travis. Dustin learned a lot about farming from Travis, specifically with angus beef cattle. Dustin and Travis had some fun times going out and singing karaoke or even checking out a nude beach (not us! Other people). When Travis moved back to Regina he would invite Dustin to the city of Bulyea for the annual curling tournament and Josh went one year as well! Dustin finally got to visit the farm Travis would talk about and see the angus beef cattle in person. Travis visited Arizona a couple times and Dustin was able to show Travis the great R and R Styx before it closed. Dustin is very excited to see this great Canadian again.

Dustin had the great honor to spend a whole year with Adolfo while at college in Vancouver, BC. Adolfo was always so positive to be around and would always have something good to say if you were not feeling quite right. They had so many good times exploring downtown Vancouver. One night they went out and had little too much to drink and Dustin recalls Adolfo saying he was blind. Dustin had the chance to visit Adolfo in his home country of Mexico where he got to experience and explore downtown Mexico City. Now Adolfo is living in Seattle with his beautiful wife and two kids, where Dustin gets to visit him occasionally.

Ben is a very close friend of Cayla & Dustin. He is easily one of the most personable and funniest humans we have ever met. Ben will keep you laughing until you cry, will celebrate you fiercely, and is an excellent storyteller; an obvious choice for us both! Ben is Mackenzie's (a member of the DSC) husband and the four of us spend a lot of time together playing games, going to dinners, pool days, out for beverages, etc. We are fortunate enough to live in bike riding distance from Ben & Mackenzie, making it easy to hang. He has been a big support for Cayla and Dustin, through all of our milestones and tough times. We can't wait for you to meet him!
