Driving across the GGB is iconic. While you're on the other side, make sure to check out the Marin Headlands for some hiking and Sausalito for a stroll through their downtown area and for some lunch and drinks.

If you're looking to venture outside of The City, try catching the ferry from the SF Ferry Building to Jack London Square in Oakland. Jack London has many restaurants on the water, bars, and breweries and is known for having Brooklyn vibes. Check out PLANK for bocce, bowling & video games, plus a beer garden & bar - a perfect place to spend a couple of hours on a nice summer day.
If you're looking for some good hiking with views of SF and the Golden Gate Bridge, check out the Marin Headlands. Or if you're looking for the famous California Redwoods, then check out Muir Woods National Monument.

The SF Zoo is the oldest zoo in the Western US and is nestled against the Pacific Ocean. Cristina has early memories of coming here on school field trips and with her cousins.
For spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay, as well as the world-famous California sea lions, check out Pier 39. A short walk away from the pier, bypassing lots of souvenir shops and an In-N-Out, you'll find yourself at Ghirardelli Square. Famous for it's big Ghirardelli store of course, there is plenty to do in this square including mini golf, a brewery, or laying in the field over looking the ocean. Right in front of the Ghirardelli Square, you'll find Aquatic Park, a small beach perfect for summer time strolls. And a few minutes away, Fort Mason comes into view with it's stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Coit Tower is a 210-foot tower in the Telegraph Hill neighborhood, overlooking the city and San Francisco Bay.
Since 1898, the Ferry Building has stood as an iconic landmark and gateway to San Francisco. Located next to the Bay Bridge, the views are fantastic. Market Street is a short walk away if you're looking to explore the downtown area.
