Our love story began at Yale on the night of the first football game our freshman year. Jonathon and Cassie were at the same party for a pregame with their teams (football and gymnastics). Cassie had already caught Jonathon's eye plenty of times before this night, and when he saw her, he (and his liquid courage) decided asking her to be his beer-pong partner was his best play. So he shot his shot... literally. They were dominant (obviously) and Jonathon felt like this was more than enough of a sign to pursue this amazing girl! They began to talk shortly after and one thing led to another... now it's five years later and they are living in Massachusetts together, still dominating in beer-pong, and GETTING MARRIED!!
Cassie's birthday is March 17 and Jonathon was able to use this as a way to cover up his blatantly suspicious activities. He planned to surprised her on the 16th on her favorite street in Boston, Acorn Street on Beacon Hill. He had Caitlin and Riley (two of her now bridesmaids) come up to Boston on the 15th, also telling them it was for Cassie's birthday. He filled Ryan (one of Jonathon's groomsmen) in on the actual plan, and asked him to come help keep everything on track. Jonathon only told Cassie that Ryan was coming and when the girls showed up, Jonathon explained how it was part of her birthday surprise. On March 16, 2024, Jonathon scheduled a brunch "to celebrate" and Caitlin, Riley, Ryan, Cassie, and Jonathon went to Acorn Street to take pictures beforehand because as Jonathon suggested in a totally not suss way "that's what girls like to do before brunch right?" As Cassie and Jonathon were taking pictures, he pulled the ring out of his vest pocket and proposed.
