On the resort
Kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling and hobie cats are all complimentary. I'm sure Mike will challenge anyone to a hobie cat race if he isn't racing you down the water slide. If you're looking for relaxation, be sure to check out the resort's world-class AWE Spa.
Resort Credits
Each room reservation through our room block will receive a resort credit. Credit amount depends on your length of stay (see below) so be sure to ask when you check-in and definitely make arrangements then if you are interested in using your credits. Credits can be used by all guests on the room reservation on excursions such as swimming with dolphins, snorkeling tours, catamaran sunset tour, Konoko Falls, Mystic Mountain Sky Explorer and at the onsite AWE Spa. 3 nights will receive $500 Resort Credits 4 nights will receive $750 Resort Credits 5 - 8 nights will receive $1,500 Resort Credits
Cool Blue Hole Ocho Rios
The Blue Hole is an area of hidden gems such as crystal clear water, beautiful Blue Hole Lagoons, stunning waterfalls (with rope swings) and breathtaking cascade falls. Mike and I loved it here. It's about 25 minutes from Moon Palace. We definitely recommend water shoes as you'll be standing mostly on rock and pack the bare essentials since you'll be in and out of the water. The Blue Hole does have lockers for rent if needed. They also have beverages available for purchase (including fresh coconuts and beers).
Dunn's River Falls & Park
Dunn's River Falls is one of Jamaica's national treasures. Described as a living and growing phenomenon, it continuously regenerates itself from deposits of travertine rock, the result of precipitation of calcium carbonate from the river, as it flows over the falls. The small dome-shaped cataracts are usually associated with thermal spring activity found in limestone caves. This, combined with its location near to the sea, gives Dunn's River the distinction of being the only one of its kind in the Caribbean, if not the world. Island Dog Water Sports - Fishing Charters
We booked a half day charter with Island Dog Water Sports. They pick you up right at the resort and head out from there. Water and Red Stripes provided. Unfortunately, we didn't have any luck, but maybe you will!
Sandals Golf & Country Club
Sandals Golf & Country Club is located about 25 minutes away from the Moon Palace Resort. You can book a tee time and travel with Moon Palace. The 18-hole course rises 700 feet above sea level in the lush hills of Ocho Rios, with a practice range, putting and chipping greens, pro shop, restaurant and snack shack.
