Please see my favorite restaurants saved on my yelp page! I put my favorite aspects of each in the notes.
Just copy and paste the above address in google maps! This is right near Scrag and Roe and the covered bridge. Is a super casual and great spot to bring kids.
They’ll do a two hour floating the mad river tour - great for kids with a few easy rapids!
Robb and I absolutely love coming here in the winter for Cross Country Skiing. In the summer they have incredible multi-use trails for mountain bikes and walking. I haven't been here in the summer yet but in my opinion is has the perfect amount of hills (as opposed to sugarbush which is an intense downhill). It also is a popular watering hole where you can paddle, bike, swim and relax.
We recommend booking a T-time in advance, as I know some of the groomsmen will be out there!
Great casual swimming hole
Please note that the hiking routes are different than the biking routes (for obvious reasons) please check the website for more information.
If you go Mountain Biking, please do not puncture a lung and WEAR A HELMET. We would like all of our guests in good health! You can get tickets in the visitors area. No need to book in advance for this. If you would like to rent a bike you can get one at Green Mountain Bikes (802.767.4464) or Stark Mountain Bike Works (802.496.4800)
The Sugarbush Recreation Center has awesome activities for children like the Adventure Center and Bunjee Jumping
I'd recommend this hike because if you're like me and your knees do not like down hills then you can take the chairlift down to Clay Brook (but you'll have to have someone drop you off at the start of the hike!). You do have to walk down jester though.
This is around 10 minutes from Claybrook and is perfect for children. This is a short but moderately strenuous hike that is around 1 hour round trip
Theis hike has some of best views but is technical at the top and I would not recommend bringing children. This is about 4 hours round trip.
