Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Children above the age of 5 and nursing babies ARE allowed to our wedding. The Clay Brook Hotel is around 100 ft from the reception venue. Dinner will start to be served at around 7PM, if that is too late for your child I would recommend RSVPing yes for the wedding ceremony itself and not for the dinner. Sugarbush has also kindly provided a list of local baby sitters and their credentials. Please copy and paste this link into your browser for that list or text me at 203.979.1525 : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-USI_MmwSU-6HtvHZaGs7Ca3SiMxrOqo/view?usp=sharing

Question

Why Sugarbush? It's 5 hours away from where we live!

Answer

We (Robb and Carrie) both grew up going to Sugarbush and nearby Mad River Glen. Throughout our relationship we have gone to many different ski resorts but always find ourselves going back to Sugarbush, it's our home base. It wasn't where we first said I love you, but it's where we fell in love and continue to do so.

Question

Where is the wedding ceremony going to be?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be at the top of Gate House and you will be taking a chairlift to get there. Please rest assured that the seats will be cleaned before you get on them and it will be going MUCH slower than if you were skiing. Enjoy the ride! If you can sit in a chair (even if it is a wheelchair), you WILL be able to go on this chairlift. They can completely stop the lift for you to get both on and off.

Question

Will you have busses?

Answer

Right now we don't plan to have any busses with the hope that everyone will stay on the mountain. We are still a year out so that may change if people struggle finding accommodations. Unfortunately Uber/Lyft does not exist in this area of Vermont so you will need a car.

Question

Where are welcome drinks? Will I need to drive anywhere?

Answer

The Vosslers decided to host the welcome drinks at Rumble, which is actually connected to the Clay Brook hotel. If you are staying on the mountain you will not need to drive. We will have light appetizers there but would recommend eating before! We have awesome restaurant recommendation on the Fun & Food page.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We absolutely love the Clay Brook hotel. It’s right at the base of the mountain with the most comfortable beds, two hot tubs, and a heated pool (even during the winter!). Everything is within walking distance and you get 20% off using the link on our website or you call and mention our wedding. But that is just one of MANY options. You can also see a picture of all of the condo complexes that are a short drive or 8 - 15 minute walk away.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please queue at the Gate House Chairlift at 3:00pm. In the event of inclement weather, we will provide alternative timing and location via text.

Question

What's the dresscode?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding is "Summer Black Tie Optional" This means if you have a tux - please wear it! If you do not own one, you are by no means obligated to rent or buy one. For women this means tea lengths or longer dresses but summer fabrics are encouraged.
