There is a small area to walk around the gated hotel area and the hotel also offers daily activities. There are so many excursions, sightseeing, & activities to do around Playa Del Carmen the on-site Travel agents can help you plan any when you arrive at the hotel. Feel free to take a peek at the link to see some of the ones they offer before hand to maybe get an idea of what they offer (prices will vary) We've done the cenotes and snorkeling and loved it!
