Ever heard of love at first sight? Well it was more like love at first fight (more like a heated discussion) Eric and Crystal met on April fools day back in 2011 amongst mutual friends where they had a very intense argument about which baseball team was better Cubs or White Sox. Til this day they have agreed to disagree which is better. (obviously The White Sox) After this argument silence.... they didn't see or talk to each other until July 4th of that year, where they ran into each other at Mundelein Days and Eric used his pick up line of "the White Sox suck" and ever since then we have been pretty much inseparable. Although it took Eric 10 YEARS to ask Crystal to be his girlfriend...

On their 10 year anniversary on July 4th, 2021 after a nice bike ride and coffee, Eric snuck off to Crystal's parents house (which she just thought he was going to go pick up something he left behind) little did she know he was asking her parents for her hand in marriage. After he got home Crystal wanted to exchange gifts; she had gotten him whiskey and he got her a pandora charm. He then followed up with a card and had their favorite 1st picture on it and with a question on the card which read "will you be my girlfriend? ✔ the yes or no box." Crystal said finally! and he then got on one knee pulled out a box and said "now that you're my girlfriend will you marry me and be my wife?" as he opened up the box with the most beautiful ring. Crystal of course said YES!!!
