FAQs

The Wedding Website of Caroline Ng and Kevin Li Chow
Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Your invitation includes a plus one. If you are planning to bring your children, they are welcome to come! Please notify the groom or bride if you have not already done so.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Kids are allowed, and kids meals will be available for them in the dinner selection.

Question

Can I bring food or beverages from outside vendors, or from home?

Answer

This is not allowed by the venue. Please do not bring outside food or beverages. The only exception is baby food for infants.

Question

I have a card for the couple, who do I give it to?

Answer

There will be a designated gift attendant at the guest sign-in table with a special box for cards.

Question

Is there transportation to the ceremony and/or reception?

Answer

No, but the ceremony and reception are at the same location. There is a designated parking lot in front of The Athenaeum with ample, self-parking. No valet will be on site. It is a short walking distance from the parking lot to the ceremony site. Pasadena is an urban/suburban city, so if needed, reception for ride sharing services (ex. Uber or Lyft) should be reliable.

Question

How is the weather in Pasadena in May?

Answer

The weather is typically warm during the day. Keep a jacket in the car or on hand, as nights can get chilly.

Question

I heard there will be Chinese lion dancers at the wedding, what are those?

Answer

Please copy/paste and review the informational Facebook link below (fun pictures & text included)! There are cultural do's & don'ts guests should be aware of before interacting with these whimsical "beasts" :) https://m.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=sanfranciscochinatown&set=a.10153332863024149

Question

Are pets allowed?

Answer

Unfortunately no :( The Athenaeum does not allow pets, except for service animals.

Question

COVID-19 INFORMATION

Answer

Although transmission rates remain low in LA county at this time, we will be diligently monitoring the trend and following recommendations from the CDC. For the protection of all in attendance, we ask guests to do the following: - Please self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms. Anyone notably exhibiting body temperature greater than 100° F or signs and symptoms of illness, or awaiting a COVID-19 test result, should not attend the wedding. - If you tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 10 days, or had confirmed, direct exposure to someone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 10 days, please do not attend the wedding. - Masks are not required, but are optional and welcome if you feel more comfortable and safer with one on. There will be an estimated 80-90 wedding guests in attendance, not including vendors and service staff. For further questions or concerns, please contact the bride or groom.
