Question

I just received an invitation! Do I need to RSVP again?

Answer

Nope! All RSVPs and room reservations were received in June! The invitations sent out this month are called kankotris. These serve to formally invite our guests to each of the separate events over the wedding weekend! That being said, we encourage guests who haven't yet to share their flight information with Shaadi Destinations as soon as they are able!

Is there a shuttle to and from the airport to the resort?

Answer

For those who would like to take advantage, we have arranged a $27 per person transfer fee covering round trip transportation between the airport and the resort. This can be reserved through our Shaadi Destinations booking link: https://www.shaadidestinations.com/carly-and-ocean Otherwise, those who prefer are welcome to arrange for their own transportation to/from the airport!

Should I bring a gift to Mexico?

Answer

If you wish to honor us with a gift, we encourage you to use our online fund (can be found on the registry tab), rather than bringing anything to Mexico! We hope to avoid concerns associated with traveling internationally with items of value. That being said, your love, laughter, and company on our wedding day is the greatest gift of all! We can't wait to celebrate soon!

What should I wear?

Answer

Please see the "Event Schedule" page for detailed information on each event and suggested attire. Indian clothes are not required, however, if you're interested and want to know where to purchase or rent Indian clothing, please feel free to reach out to carlyandocean@gmail.com! Our favorite websites for online shopping are kalkifashion.com and azafashions.com. Renttherunway.com, asos.com, shein.com, and even amazon.com also have some nice Indian and Indo-Western options! For the two wedding ceremonies on the beach, shoes are optional, or can be left with our "shoe valet" on site!

Where should I be for the Baraat?

Answer

Groom's Side: Please meet at the resort main entrance at 9:00 am on Sunday, January 22nd. The procession will begin here, proceed through the resort, and make it's way to the mandap located at the beach wedding venue. Bride's Side: Please arrive at the beach wedding venue entrance at 9:30 am on Sunday, January 22nd to join in the celebration. A short ceremony will then follow with the bride's immediate family "welcoming" the groom's side to kick off the Hindu wedding!

Are kids welcome? Are there babysitting options available?

Answer

Yes! Our resort offers many kid-friendly activities, including a kids club and family water park! Babysitting services are available and can be arranged with the concierge at chiefconcierge.drsrc@dreamsresorts.com and concierge.drsrc@dreamsresorts.com

What is included in my "all-inclusive" stay?

Answer

The all-inclusive stay includes room accommodations and resort amenities, as well as all food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage, and entertainment! There are 8 restaurants and 5 bars on premise, including swim-up pool bars, room service, and beach waiter service. Our resort also has daily entertainment from cocktail hours, to live music and shows. We encourage those who are extending their vacation on either side of the wedding weekend to take advantage of day trips, water activities, and other local excursions! Many of these can be booked in advance.
