FAQs

You've got questions. We've got answers. If you have a question that isn't addressed here, please humor Cara's obsessive need for organization and contact us directly via text/phone or at thejourneytojohnson@gmail.com.
Question

Top priority: Will Milo & Zuri be in the wedding?

Answer

Milo and Zuri are sad to share that they are not physically able to attend the party, but they will be there in spirit. Hint. Hint.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your kids, we promise! But we want this to be a night out for you too. This party is 18+ except for immediate family or if otherwise specified on your invitation or RSVP page.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Those invited to the wedding, including guests, are specified on the envelope of your invitation and the total number of people associated with your invitation will be visible when you RSVP on this site. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We'll be hosting a Welcome Happy Hour on Friday at American Social Tampa. You can see specific details on the Schedule page and your invitation.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, please check out our Accommodations page for more details. We have two hotel blocks available - one closer to the venue and the other closer to the Wesley Chapel area north of Tampa.

Question

Is there parking available on site?

Answer

Self-parking is not available at Mision Lago. Valet will be available onsite. If you are concerned about driving home/back to your hotel, we recommend an Uber/Lyft.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Glad you asked! Yes, there is a dress code. The Night Before (Friday, Oct. 27) is cocktail attire. Think: knee-length, tea-length, or midi dress if that's your fancy or a suit and tie or dress shirt with slacks if that's more your style. The Big Day (Saturday, Oct. 28) is black-tie optional. Think: floor-length gowns or tuxedos if you want to dress up with us or a midi dress or dark suit and tie if going full black tie isn't your thing. There is quite a bit of walking at Mision Lago Estate, so we recommend short heels or flats.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5 p.m. Gates open at 4 p.m. Please arrive no later than 4:45.

For all the days along the way
