Jeff and I met online in January 2013. Soon, messages were not enough and we moved to late-night Skype calls. We talked about everything from video games to movies to our deepest dreams. I knew he was a special guy, and after a year of talking to one another over Skype and the phone we finally met in person in March 2014 in Atlanta. I drove up from my home near Savannah, GA, and Jeff flew down from his home in Wilmington, DE. On my way to the airport, my car, that never had a single issue before, decided she was very unhappy and died on I75 in Atlanta traffic. I had to get her towed, and I called Jeff sobbing. "Hey, there's a Burger King here, and I've got my Lord of the Rings book. I won't starve, and I won't be bored. It's okay." He reassured me. My friend came and picked me up (Thanks, Rex!) and drove me to the airport where I found Jeff eating chicken fries and reading Tolkien's greatest novel. I knew right then he was the one. After we got my car fixed (alternator died), we spent a wonderful few days together in Atlanta exploring the city together and realizing this was way more serious than either of us intended. It was the start of our beautiful life together.
On February 17, 2017 Jeff took me to Longwood Gardens located in Kennett Square, PA. He hired a photographer to capture the moment, and as we walked through the gardens he got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. I knew he was planning this, and I had my own plans. I counter proposed after saying, "YES!" I asked him if he would spend the rest of his life with me as well and promised him my love for all eternity. (Awww!)
Jeff and I are *officially* getting married in beautiful Scottsboro, AL. We will be having our ceremony and reception at The Glass House Venue. Our wedding will be informal, fun, and very much "us." Expect a pickle bar, cake, and funky horrible dancing!
