In the crisp, autumnal air of a 2012 September evening in California, Sean Coyne rolled up in a vintage dream machine (1995 Corolla) to pick up Kristin Campbell. He offered to pick her up, because Kristin lived in such an impacted area she'd have to park a mile away if she tried to park after dark. "What a freaking gentleman," she thought, "I'm definitely not concerned at all about getting into this stranger's car." Sean took Kristin to a dueling piano bar. "Slam dunk," Sean thought to himself. Kristin quickly assessed the errors in Sean's logic. The drinks were hella expensive and pianos are really freaking loud in a small space. I mean, come on! There's not just ONE piano, but TWO pianos in there. It was obnoxiously loud. So after one incredibly forgettable cocktail, Kristin looked at Sean and said, "Is there somewhere else we can go?" The ever-smooth and incredibly handsome, 20-something Sean Coyne knew just the type of classy affair this girl needed. They went over to the next alley, found a place with a bouncer, cheap drinks, a sticky floor and some decent rock music on the juke box. They saddled up to the bar and had a proper pint or two of the finer stuff. Lagunitas, maybe? No one will ever know for sure, but Sean says that he instigated the first kiss. Kristin accepts this as historical fact at this point, but does not necessarily remember that to be the case. Expectations were pretty low on that first date, but we expect a marginally better time at our wedding. See you there!
