The wedding day dress code is "Summer Semi-Formal": suits and cocktail/formal dresses. It gets very hot in July (see weather below), so that is good to consider too!
We've got you covered! We'll have free shuttle busses on the day going from designated locations, to bring guests to and from the venue (pickup & dropoff locations TBC).
The whole day, including wedding ceremony and reception, will take place on-site at Château Valmy. The ceremony will take place outdoors (weather permitting), and the reception in an indoor hall with a terrace.
Outside of close family, children are not invited to the wedding ceremony and reception. However if you're making a family holiday of the trip, we can put you in touch with vetted English-speaking babysitters for the day.
Per French tradition, there will only be one (delicious!) menu option during the reception dinner. However, there will be plenty of choices of canapes and snacks during the cocktail reception, desserts, and sandwiches for a midnight snack. We've also taken into consideration everyone's dietary requirements, so you'll get a meal that meets any needs you mentioned in your RSVP.
Yes, absolutely! Please indicate any allergies you have when RSVPing, or you can email us.
The main difference is that European weddings go well into the night (ending around 2-3am). which in our unbiased opinion makes them all the more fun! We'll provide plenty of coffee, tea and snacks to keep you going.
The weather is gorgeous in this area in July. For the day of the wedding, bear in mind that it is typically quite sunny and hot, with average highs of 30C/86F and average lows of 25C/77F. We'll have plenty of water and fans on standby!
