The Wedding Website of Katie Rayfield and Cameron Webber
Question

Why the new date?

Answer

Turns out we just couldn’t wait to start our family! Our new addition will be arriving in June 2023. To give ourselves a little time to adjust to our new roles we’ve decided to move the wedding celebration back a few weeks. This means you’ll get to celebrate two major events with us!

Question

Do I need to move my reservations or RSVP again?

Answer

Nope! If you had a reservation at the Inn, they’ve already moved it to the new weekend for you. If you have concerns or need to cancel please reach out to the Inn and they’ll be happy to help. If you’ve already RSVP’d that still holds. If you haven’t, please do so as soon as you know! If you’ve RSVP’d yes but now can’t attend the new date, please message one of us and we’ll change your status.

Question

Why Mazama?

Answer

Why not?! We both love the eastern side of the state and spend a fair amount of time hiking, boating and hunting in the area. We had a successful deer hunt not more than 5 miles from the Inn just a couple years ago! (Don't ask us to tell you where though...) Katie's family has been coming to the area for decades and Cameron's family lives in the Spokane Valley so all of us meeting here together made perfect sense. With all the fond memories and good times we couldn't think of a better place to start our married life together. We hope our friends and family find this area as special as we do and have a memorable weekend here with us.

Question

When should I book my lodging?

Answer

Freestone Inn & Cabins is holding all rooms for our party until 7/1/2023. We suggest you book before then! Other accommodations in the area do fill up fast in the summer months, so think about your lodging plans 4-6 months in advance. If you plan on camping, all campgrounds are first come, first served in the area. Factor this into your plans. If you can, come over a few days early to snag a prime campsite and enjoy some quiet time.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Yes! We wouldn't want people to travel for a fun getaway weekend and have to leave behind their little ones. Please just let us know if you'll be bringing your kids so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

Freestone Inn & Cabins does allow "furry friends" (for an additional fee) if you are staying in the cabins. By all means bring your dogs to enjoy the weekend, we just ask that they don't partake in the ceremony and reception activities. They'll be a lot of people running around and we don't want anyone, or anyone's furry friends, to feel overwhelmed.

Question

Where should I go for food?

Answer

Freestone Inn & Cabins has a few inhouse options, but there's also lots of places to check out within 20 minutes of the lodge. We encourage you to explore the area and get to know what's out there! Please look over this link to explore your options: https://winthropwashington.com/adventure/eat/

Question

How do I get around?

Answer

Sadly there are no shuttle or Uber options in the area. We really hope that people choose to stay at Freestone Inn with us, or campout at nearby Early Winters. If you end up staying off-site carpooling would be your best option to get to the ceremony and reception. Whatever you choose, please travel safe!

Question

What do I wear?

Answer

Katie's going to wear a dress, Cameron's going to wear a tie. What YOU wear, is entirely up to you. All events are outdoors and Mazama can be very warm in August so linen pants, button downs and flowy dresses are recommended. Some activities will take place on the lawn and we anticipate cutting a rug, so pick your shoes accordingly!

Question

But how close is Early Winters Campground really?

Answer

We spent a weekend mapping out logistics and checking out the campsites. Early Winters is the next property over from Freestone, definitely within walking distance! There is a foot path managed by Methow Trails that cuts through the property and into the campsites. It even has a cute little footbridge. You do have to cross the highway so travel safe and pack a flashlight.

Question

Do the campgrounds have showers?

Answer

Good question, and no they don't. If you're staying at the campground and need to spruce up before the ceremony we suggest you talk to a friend staying in the lodge and see if they will let you pop in real quick to clean up. If not, we are willing to offer our room as well for anyone needing a shower. If you can't find the time, a space, or just prefer to be "rollin' dirty" that's okay too!

Question

Where are you registered for gifts?

Answer

We both agree that your presence at our wedding and prayers for a long and happy marriage are more than enough as a gift. If you’d still like to gift us something we’ve registered for a few items and would also appreciate donations towards a warm and cheery honeymoon. We’ve also registered for some items to round out our new nursery!

Question

Still have questions?

Answer

Send one of us a text and we'll do our best to help you out! However, for lodging specific questions please reach out to Freestone Inn first.
