Sierra started a new career in emergency veterinary medicine at Blue Pearl in 2013 and little did she know one day the love her life would soon walk in to her hospital. Jake started a new job at Blue Pearl back home in Kansas City circa 2015. Little did he know that working at one of the sister hospitals, was his future wife. They met when Jake's own dog needed care on April 2nd 2015 and they both knew there was something special about each other... but they just didn't know why. Jake soon transferred locations and for 5 years this duo formed an amazing team saving life after life and supporting each other through the hills and valleys of a stressful and intense career in ECC Vet Med. Eventually, the connection between them was too strong to ignore and their fiends and colleagues urged them to see what was written in the stars. Jake was finally brave enough to ask this "really cute" fiery red head on their first date January 30th 2019. Sierra knew immediately how deeply she would fall for Jake, he brought her peace, laughter, and a comfort she had searched for her entire life. With every date their friendship blossomed into an unbreakable connection. These two could make even simple trips to the grocery store an adventure filled with fun and laughter. Jake knew that this amazing woman had changed his life forever, she was the one who brought his heart home. So in 2020, working and dating was no longer enough, they merged homes and started to grow roots. Their story is filled with travel, music, animals, and all things science. In 2023 they purchased their first home. A beautiful historic plot in downtown Lee's Summit, MO, where they plan to start a family of their own. From one unexpected and serendipitous meeting to a beautiful wedding, Jake and Sierra are so glad that you are here.
