Yes, we will still be having our ceremony and reception in January. We eloped back in July to honor God in our relationship. Because our elopement was just us, our photographer, and our officiant, we still want our closest friends and family to be apart of this celebration. We are looking forward to seeing all of you in January.
We are having an unplugged wedding ceremony. Which means we ask that all guest turn off their phones for the duration of the ceremony and just be present with us in the moment. We have a wedding photographer and videographer to capture all the photos you may want to see during our ceremony. Guest can take as many photos during the reception as they choose.
We'd love to see our family and friends dresses up for our big day. The dress code is semi-formal attire. Ladies can wear floor-length, tea-length, or midi formal dresses. Gentlemen can wear suit & tie. Please keep in mind that our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside and it will be the end of January so it may be cold. No jeans, sweatpants, pajamas, or casual clothes please! Please stay away from white, dark/forest green, navy, and gold.
Please don't wear white or any form of white. Let the bride have her day!
If your invitation list your guest name or is addressed to you and guest, then yes. Otherwise, we would love to keep our wedding as an intimate event with close family and friends.
We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults only event with the exception of immediate family. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!
The ceremony will begin at 4:30. Please arrive 15-30 minutes prior to park and find a seat.
Yes. The ceremony will be outside under the pine trees. The cocktail hour will be outside, in front of the barn. And the reception will be in the beautiful open barn. If you need fresh air throughout the night we will have games outside, along with the bar and heaters.
Yes. Parking will be behind the barn. Please don't park on the side of the barn, or by the bridal cottage. We have plenty of parking behind the barn. Once you are parked behind the barn, please follow the signs to the ceremony.
The gate and driveway are located directly off of 319 south (Thomasville Road). We are just over the Georgia/Florida line on the Georgia side. If you are coming from Tallahassee, we are about 10 minutes north of Chiles High school. You will pass the sign that says "Welcome to Georgia" and then take your 2nd U-turn, drive about 300 yards and turn right into our driveway. We are in the southbound lane of Thomasville Road. We have white fencing with a Loblolly Rise sign out front. If you pass the Texaco and Turner's furniture, you've already gone too far. If you're coming from Thomasville or Cairo then you will turn directly into our driveway without making any u-turns. If you pass the sign that says "Welcome to Florida", you've gone too far.
Getting one out here is easy, but not reliable to get back. We will have last call at the bar an hour before our wedding ends. Please don't drive if you are drunk!
Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside. Our reception will be in an open barn. The bar will be located outside. If you need to step outside throughout the night to get fresh air we will have heater located around the front yard.
We ask that all RSVP's be submitted online by December 17th. This time frame allows us to secure your place and gets all of our final numbers over to our vendors. Because our vendors need final headcount we will not be able to accommodate any guest after this date. Thank you for understanding.
No. We will have beer, wine, and other drinks available at our bar.
