What will the weather be like in July?

Answer

July in South Carolina can be hot, however the venue is right on the water so a breeze is to be expected! Weather permitting the ceremony will be outside. Cocktail hour will be both inside and outside the clubhouse. Reception to follow under a tent.

Will there be transportation?

Answer

Yes. We will have shuttle services for all events from specific meeting areas that will take guests to and from their accommodations to the venues. More information to come. ALL villas have house phones where the on demand transportation can be called. Or you can call from your cell phone (843) 768-2900

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Yes, we have 3 accommodation options. Please see the home page for more information under accommodations.

What time will the wedding reception end?

Answer

11PM. There will be no after-party, but guests are more than welcome to convene in villas. We ask that everyone is mindful of 11pm noise ordinance on the island.

Will there be a time gap between the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

There will be a cocktail hour following the ceremony right on site!

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Cocktail party! We encourage chunky-heeled shoes or wedges since we will be on the golf course and the grass can be soft and damp.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Children are welcome to join us the night before at our welcome event but we will be keeping the ceremony and reception kid-free. If you need a babysitter we recommend the following: - https://kiawahbabysitter.com/ - Care.com - If you have any issues finding a sitter please reach out to the bride directly (516) 320-0003.

What cuisine will be served?

Answer

Dinner will be a dual plated entree of steak + the local fish. Vegetarian options are available.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Guests can choose from wine, beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages including coffee and tea.

How can I get around during the day?

Answer

If you are not driving to the island, we highly recommend renting a rental car. There are many walking and bike paths, however if you are wanting to visit Freshfields Village or go in to Charleston you will need a car.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 5PM to the Ocean Course.

I've never been to Kiawah what should I do with my downtime?

Answer

Please see our Things To Do tab above for activities the Bride and Groom highly recommend! We strongly suggest renting a rental car if you are flying in to be able to conveniently explore the island, especially FreshFields Village where a multitude of shops and restaurants await!

Will My Villa Have Beach Towels?

Answer

No. It will be equipped with shower towels. You can pack towels with you or buy beach towels in Freshfields or at The Nest! If you choose to go to the pools at Night Heron Park there will be towels there.
