Jack & Callie began dating in their Sophomore year of college at Elon University! Fun Fact: Stephanie + David Gitlin were there for their first date. The two of them have traveled from NC, VA, to Colorado with their pup Walter and created wonderful friends along the way!

Jack proposed in Cape Cod, MA with his entire extended family present for the wonderful moment! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.

Airport: Closest airport is Charleston (CHS). Airport is about an hour from Kiawah Island. Recommended Driving Services: http://www.island-transportation.com/ Rent A Car: You might want to consider renting a car for the weekend. There is shuttle service around the island if you rent through Kiawah Island rentals, but the shuttles can be unpredictable during the summer season. Walking and biking are great for getting places close by, but the island is big and there are no Ubers/Taxis on demand. We will have transportation to and from the venue.

There are 3 options, feel free to choose the best option for you and reach out with any questions. 1). The Villas: We have reserved a block of 1BR and 2BR Villas. They are small condos, each with a kitchen and family room. They are walking distance to the beach. Prices are $342/night for 1BR and $515/night for 2BR (this rate does not include the 9% resort fee & 10% taxes). There is a 2 night minimum, but if you want a 3rd night, the rate will be honored. To reserve a Villa, call: 866-763-5056 and tell them Code: 21073 or that you are with the block for the Millard/Gitlin wedding. 2). Hotels: The Sanctuary is the premier hotel on the island located on the beach with a private pool and spa. Rates start at $875/night, but when you call (1-800-654-2924) to make a reservation, tell them you are with the Millard/Gitlin wedding and you will get a 10% discount. The Sanctuary provides shuttle service on the island. The Andell Inn is located in Freshfields Village in the front of the island. It is a very nice hotel, but driving distance from the beach and about 20 minutes from the Ocean Course. Rates are $500 - $600/night with no discount for wedding guests. Private Home Rentals: If you are looking for more space or to share a home with other guests, there are private homes for rent on the island. If you book through Kiawah Island rentals (866-763-5056), you get 20% off (give the Millard/Gitlin wedding name or use code 21073). You will also get use of the shuttle service, although this can be unpredictable as houses are spread out throughout the island. You can see available properties and also book online at www.kiawahresort.com. It might be early to see all of the available properties for next summer, but more will come on in the next few months. However, many of these private homes could have a 7 night minimum in the summer. The other option for private home rental is through Airbnb or VRBO - you won’t get the 20% discount, but those homes are less likely to have 7-night minimums.
