Planet Marfa is a dive bar with very interesting hang-out spots inside. Check it out for some beer, live music, and interesting decor.
The Capri is a luxury cocktail bar we highly recommend for the atmosphere and fantastic mezcal.
Hotel Saint George has a great pool if it's warm enough to swim during the day. It is paid access to non-guests and comes with great pool-side drinks and menu.
El Cosmico is quintessentially Marfa. It's technically a hotel made up of airstreams, but often has events going on in the courtyard and comes with a drool-worthy gift shop.
The Chinati Foundation is one of the original foundations that put Marfa on the map as an artist community. The foundation itself is worth visiting, and the museum visitor center will have up-to-date information about other exhibits around town.

A small, bodega-style grocery store that is walkable from most places in town. It has snacks, wine, cheese, and some groceries for meals. There is a larger grocery store on the edge of town called Porter's.
LaVenture at Hotel Saint George has great bar food and delicious drinks. There are some spots in Marfa that may run out of food on busy weekends, LaVenture is reliable if you're running into trouble!
This is a good place to start if you'd like to walk around downtown Marfa. Walk down the main street and side streets to find lots of local shops that are independently owned. We're into supporting local artists and business owners, so take a minute to check them out if you can!
