What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be cocktail attire. It can be breezy on the water so we recommend bringing a sweater or light jacket. Our ceremony will take place on a grass surface so we suggest leaving the stilettos at home!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation will denote whether we've planned for a 'plus one.' Just refer to your invitation and RSVP accordingly.

Are children welcome?

Answer

We love your kids but thought you might like a night of relaxation and uninhibited revelry. Adults only please!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We plan for our event to be fully outdoors! Our reception will take place in an open air pavilion. It can be fully enclosed in the event of rain.

What kind of transportation is available?

Answer

Parking is available onsite for those choosing to drive. Pre-COVID, taxis and ubers were historically easy to find in the area. We have also arranged a school bus to transport guests to and from Fort Getty from a couple central locations in Newport and downtown Jamestown.

What type of food will be served and are there vegetarian or vegan options?

Answer

We will be enjoying a traditional Rhode Island clambake buffet for dinner! This includes lobster, a variety of local seafood, chourico (Portuguese spicy sausage) and barbeque chicken. Our caterer is happy to prepare a vegan/vegetarian alternative with advance notice, so please let us know your preference when your RSVP!
