What is "Leave No Trace?"
Answer
Choosing to hold our special day outdoors speaks to the deep connection and respect both of us have for nature and we want to ensure everyone in attendance follows the guidelines for national parks and protected land areas in Moab while we're there. While no one would intentionally cause harm in these areas, it's very easy to have oversight when mixing "celebration" and "the great outdoors." Here are the quick tips: -do no harm (do not take souvenirs, pick vegetation, or leave behind traces of yourself . . . that includes human waste- please pack bottles or WAG bags if needed) -no fire/flame (this includes campfires, candles, or tobacco/marijuana products) -no confetti (this includes rice, flower petals, paper, etc.) -stay on the paths (in many of the desert areas, there is Cryptobiotic crust which is extremely vulnerable under foot traffic and can cause serious damage to this soil type) -Do not approach wildlife. How Long Should I Be in Moab?
Answer
That's up to you! We will be in Moab from Monday to Sunday, and we will have time carved out to spend with guests Wednesday- Friday. Beyond the day of our ceremony, you can arrive whenever you would like, leave whenever you would like, and do whatever you want. While we want to spend time with our guests, we also very much are looking forward to enjoying time as a couple the other days of our trip and appreciate our guests sharing in the day before, the day of, and the day after our ceremony if they would like.

Do I Have to Attend the Group Activities?
Answer
Nope. We are offering a few group activities for any guest who wants to share in those experiences with us, but we don't have any expectation that anyone does anything they are not interested in or comfortable with.

What If I'm Not an Outdoorsy Person, Are There Other Things to Do?
Answer
Not really, and we completely understand if our dream vacation is not yours. We realize how precious time and money are, and we do not expect anyone to spend either in a way that is not meaningful to them.

Do I Need to Stay Where You're Staying?
Answer
Nope. We are treating ourselves and recognize that the rates here do not fall into the affordable category. You can stay wherever has availability and works with your budget.
