Maid of Honor
Emily and Anna met freshman year of college at Appalachian. Over the next several years, they were roommates in their first apartments - fighting over how to load the dishwasher, being each other's shoulder to cry on, and having weekly dance parties. Even after college, Emily and Anna kept up - from Texas to Ohio! Not to mention, Emily was the first friend to meet Kyler on their friends' trip to Colorado! Anna knew she needed the Emily stamp of approval before she committed, and after a long weekend together, Emily knew Kyler was someone special for AB. Fast forward to now, Emy has been by Anna's side the entirety of her adult life and expects no less while walking down the aisle.
Best Man
From birth - the two have been inseparable. Even as adults, Kyler names Colby as his best friend. When you're siblings, you know what it takes to make it through life together - through the ups and the downs, the highs and the lows, the grief and the joy. Kyler and Colby have been through it all. It's fitting that as Anna and Kyler were talking about the bridal party Kyler said, "Colby. Colby will stand by my side." Just like the last 25 years, Kyler will enter this phase of life with Anna as Colby is standing right beside him.
Officiant
Stephen and Anna met their first year of Seminary - both had just moved away from home and were experiencing deep grief. Through the years of deconstructing their faith and building it back up again, the two shared a friendship full of laughs, ridiculous moments, accountability, and encouraging each other in their call to ministry. As Taylor (Stephen's wife) and Kyler were added into the mix, the four became family in Dallas, figuring out young adulthood and their careers. Rev. Lashley has been with Kyler and Anna since the beginning, and they are grateful for his willingness to serve on their day.
