Just as the pandemic would have it, the two of us matched on Hinge. Anna knew he was special when Kyler was straight and to the point with his first message: "How is your quarantine going?" A man who didn't try pick up lines, took the lock-down seriously, and wanted to keep talking? She knew she wanted to get to know him. After two weeks of talking, Anna invited Kyler over to her apartment for a first date: tacos and Legally Blonde. (Sidenote: she doesn't recommend inviting strangers to your apartment for a first meeting.) He came over at 6pm, arrived early and parked down the street while she was fixing her hair, and that night they talked and talked and talked. After the first date, they were hooked. A month in, the two decided to take a trip to CO with their friends. They traveled in the car for over 20 hours and bonded over their favorite music. On the first day of the trip, Anna called a friend because she was experiencing elevation sickness. Kyler was a dream - offering to hold her hair back as she vomited, got her to-go lunch, and asked if he could stay in the car with her instead of eating inside the restaurant. "If we get through this trip and he still likes me," Anna said on the phone, "I'll probably marry him." After a few trips to NC, quarantined together while sick with COVID, and encouraging each other in job changes and going back to school, Anna and Kyler knew they wanted to do this for the rest of their lives: communicate together. Now, Kyler and Anna are asking y'all to take some time out of your schedule to celebrate with them. They plan to build a marriage on communication, honesty, fun, and growing in relationship with God. It's a small wedding, so you know that you're pretty special. It would mean the world to them if you're there!
