Like so many others, Katrina and Bryson first met in medical school, in Norfolk, Virginia. It's a tale as old as time... Katrina was the apple of Bryson's eye, and he was going to sweep her off her feet—on St. Paddy's Day no less! With a plan in mind, it really all came down to execution. At their favorite bar and a staple of downtown Norfolk, Red Dog Cafe (since condemned), Bryson sent her a plastic cup of their finest house red wine from across the bar. Her eyes lit up, and the rest is history. A month later, Bryson moved 2,000 miles away to Vail, Colorado. For most couples this would have been a death blow, but their love persevered. They surprised each other with visits throughout the year, and by the time Bryson returned, they were ready to take the leap. They "couples matched" residency positions at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and moved together to a new city. They weathered COVID, night shifts, car trouble, shady neighbors, taxes, and everything in between to come out stronger. In 2021, five years later, they returned to Colorado, this time for a magical proposal at the top of Vail Mountain. They are so excited to share their big day with you, and hope you have as much fun as they will!
