FAQs

Below are some questions you may have about the wedding specifically or just Key West in general. If you have questions and can't find the answers on our site, please reach out to the bride or groom directly.
Question

Do I need anything special if I plan to fly to Key West?

Answer

Yes, as of May 2025 all passengers require either a Real ID or Passport to board a flight within the US. Please see the travel page for more info.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code is Cocktail/Beach Formal aka dressy but with breathable fabrics and fun prints/colors. Guys, think lightweight suits such as linen or seersucker. Ties optional. Ladies think bright tropical dresses (long or short) or a jumpsuit with sandals. Stilheto heels are strongly discouraged due to the brick. Opt for chunky heels, wedge or sandals instead. Feel free to bring a pair of flip flops or flats for the dance floor!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Please note, we wish we could include all children, but we are unfortunately only able to invite children of immediate family to the ceremony and reception due to venue space limitations, and regulations requiring all children under the age of 12 to have a chaparone at all times. We know some of you plan to bring young children to Key West along with family members to watch them, and do welcome both at the other events taking place during the week/weekend. Be sure to check if your hotel allows children before booking. Most, if not all, botique hotels are adult only.

Question

What is the best way to get to the wedding venue?

Answer

Parking in Key West is extremely limited, and even more so in the area around the Audubon House. The Audubon House does not have on site parking. We strongly recommend using Uber or Lyft to arrive at the wedding. If you must drive, here are a few suggested parking lots of the options near the venue. Expect to pay $6-7/hour or up to $48 per day. Question

What is the weather like in Key West in January?

Answer

The average high during the day is around 75F with average lows around 66F with humidity around 47% landing between humid and muggy. The ocean temperature average is 75F. Sunrise is roughly 7:11am and sunset is roughly 5:50pm daily.

Question

Do I need to make reservations at the local restaurants?

Answer

January is the high season in Key West. We strongly recommend making reservations for breakfast or getting out when restaurants first open to avoid long wait times. See our list of recommended restaurants in the Things to Do page.
