Maid of Honor
Brooke couldn't imagine making anyone other than her little sister stand beside her on the big day. She stood beside her when they moved four times and was always Brooke's best friend when they moved to a new city. She admires the way Grace conquers challenges and has the biggest heart to love on her friends, family and growing family of rescue pets. It only feels right and perfect for her to be beside Brooke for her next adventure.
Best Man
Some may call him the day 1 or the OG, but Mickey’s newest title is: Co-Best Man. Mickey is one of the few people at the wedding that will call the groom ‘Willy." The nickname was given by a fellow member of the Westchester baseball team. There was no real rhyme or reason to it, but it stuck like glue for the rest of high school. Mickey kept the nickname alive, confusing everyone that knows the groom by a different name. During their 11 year friendship, Mickey and Willy have done it all. From conquering the drama of high school, to unforgettable mountain weekends, to a trip to Vegas, to coaching high school baseball together, to the wedding day when Mickey will grant Brooke joint custody of Willy. It’s been an interesting decade, but Mickey has earned the title of Co-Best Man.
Bridesmaid
Kelsey and Brooke met during a study abroad semester in Florence, but don't be surprised if Kelsey only refers to Brooke as Paige. The nickname started in Italy and never really stopped. The two ate their way through Italy, France, and Switzerland and pretty much talk about going back daily. Kelsey is always the life of the party and she keeps Brooke on her toes. If anyone is going to ice the bride at the altar, it would be Kelsey.
Best Man
Austin Myers, a.k.a Piglet, along with the remaining groomsmen knows the groom only as “Teddy." Austin and Teddy met during a sorority semi-formal, and Teddy convinced Austin to join Delta Chi. Austin joined and eventually became Teddy’s “little brother." During their senior year (Teddy’s second), they ended up being roommates in a crappy apartment. Austin moved on to Raleigh for his big boy job and Teddy tried to follow Austin up I-40, but overshot the Raleigh exit by about 19 hours. While their preferred EPL teams differ, Teddy still gets notifications for Arsenal final scores just so he can get a jab in to Austin when they lose. Teddy can always count on Austin to answer the phone (not vice-versa), recommend music (sometimes actually good), and always be down for an adventure.
Bridesmaid
Brooke had no idea that when Kathleen sat across from her in a mind-numbing recitation freshman year she'd end up being in Brooke's bridal party one day. Especially since they didn't talk. At all. Thankfully their friends did the leg work and when Brooke came back from studying abroad, she was in the friend group. They bonded over a mutual love of sports, mimosas and food and consuming all three at the same time. Brooke can always count on Kathleen to enable giant brunches, clean her room and make her laugh. All excellent traits that made her a no-brainer bridesmaid pick.
Groomsman
Teddy met Will because Will shared one of the go-to party houses early on in college known as “Will and Keith’s”. A few years later, Will needed somewhere to live and Jackson and Teddy had just moved into one of the houses on the Brickle compound. Will introduced Teddy to the Hurricanes. Teddy learned favorite players, what icing was, and that everyone other than the Canes sucked (and still suck). There were ups, like both of us winning Fantasy Football Championships, and there were downs, like that one icy day at Sound Medical when Will filmed a video of Teddy slipping on ice and dropping his milkshake on the ground. From Blackberry Smoke, to Skynyrd shows, to converting every word to having the word -piece at the end, Will and Teddy have been through a lot.
Bridesmaid
Brooke and Julia met on the first day of college when they moved into a suite on the ninth floor of Hinton James. Their room was usually a disaster. Brooke can always count on Julia to give her a (brutally) honest opinion, diagnose her with some terrifying disease based on medical knowledge gained from Grey's Anatomy and always send questionable snapchats. Julia was there for Brooke's first day of college, first frat party, first college exam cram session, and now, first (and only) wedding.

How does one begin to describe Thomas Jackson Crickenberger the 4th Esquire? This guy truly embodies The Man, the Myth, the Legend. Teddy and Jackson lived across from each other in Galloway Hall at UNCW, but soon found out they lived only a few miles from each other back home in High Point. The friendship grew during trips home, moving furniture for City Transfer, and over a shared admiration for Cheesy Potato Soft Tacos with no lettuce. Teddy will forever remember when Jackson, adorned in a blow up sumo suit, waddled into his apartment junior year on Halloween night. Jackson is also credited with starting a USA chant in the River Street Tunnel on St. Patty’s Day in Savannah. It’s still the loudest and proudest Teddy has ever heard someone yell “U-S-A!” ‘Merica.
Bridesmaid
Kelly and Brooke met at Brooke's first Daily Tar Heel sports desk meeting, but wouldn't become close friends until a couple years later when they bonded over a shared love of diet coke, shopping, the bachelorette and sports journalism. They've visited ballparks, gone on impromptu trips to Wyoming and spent hours on the beach in St. Pete. Even though Kelly left sportswriting to save the world through social work, they remain best friends.
Groomsman
WHAT IS THIS CITY BUILT ON? ChrisJohn (said rapidly) is the only groomsmen to not have lived with Teddy. That is, unless you count the weekend long gaming sessions they had in Raleigh each time Teddy finished a term during his Master’s program. Chris was one of the first people that talked to Teddy about joining Delta Chi. Chris set the bar for the fraternity gentleman, wearing snazzy clothes to events and wearing outrageous outfits to mixers. The only bad thing about ChrisJohn is how high he and his amazing wife Paige (and Sherman and Tess) have set the marriage bar. Through a shared love of Taco Bell, video games, and onesies, Chris and Teddy have become close friends over the years. Born Proud, Raised Proud. ROCK AND ROLL!
Bridesmaid
Brooke and Grace were destined to be best friends when Grace helped sneak one of Brooke's airplane bottles into Linda's for the Daily Tar Heel's annual birthday party. The rest was history. Brooke can always count on Grace to make her laugh with stories from the Clemson beat, and the two often commiserate over being two of the only women in a male-dominated field. Grace has plenty of experience keeping Brooke calm during football season, skills she'll definitely put to use as Brooke's bridesmaid.
Groomsman
Papa Kiki. Keeler was a random roommate, and Teddy couldn’t have gotten a better one. Keeler was a baseball player who was 9 months older than the rest of us which meant he turned 21 fastest. He shared a love for the classics: Cheers, Home Improvement, and classic n64 games. Keeler set — and still holds — all of the Mario Kart records. Teddy helped create the Matt Keeler fan club (the Keeler Elves) when he made the UNCW baseball team. Even though Teddy and Keeler cheer for different college football teams (University of South Carolina and the University of Broken Dreams (Clemson) respectively), they continue to bond through the stupidity of the Bills franchise moves. Keeler a.k.a Princess Peach a.k.a. Mrs. Nussbaum is an essential member of the groomsmen team.
