House Or Rental
This part of the world really is out in the country, so airbnbs/home rentals or real BNBs are the way to go. We've put together a list of homes/rooms on airbnb to get you started, depending on your taste, budget, and who you'll be traveling with. All of these properties should be within about 30-35 minutes of the venue, some closer that others. This is not an exhaustive list. We would also recommend having a look at VRBO.com, which has some different listings, and also sometimes cheaper rates on the same listings. Unfortunately we are unable to share a list of favorites from that site.
Hotel
Most guests will be staying in local homes/rooms near the wedding venue. More traditional 2-3 star hotel accommodations are available in Oneonta, about 30 minutes north, but rooms are VERY limited and unfortunately we could not get a useful room block there due to the Baseball Hall of Fame induction.
Rental Car
Car is definitely the easiest way to get up to Delhi, and get around the region. Note that cell reception are the area can be spotty, so ensure you load a map before you set off! (Google maps will continue to show even if offline, Waze will not - we know this from experience!)
Travel Note
July 28, 2018 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm
While you will need a car to get around the area, if you need to come separately there are buses that service the region. You can check out the NY Trailways bus schedules on the below link.
Flight
There are three major airports servicing NYC (Laguardia, JFK and Newark, NJ), about 3 hours from the venue by car. In addition, there are a couple of small regional airports closer to the venue. Service here will be much more limited, but it's a good idea to check if any of these offers you a good connection: Binghamton, NY (1 hr 21 min from venue) Albany, NY (1 hr 35 mins) Utica, NY (1 hr 44 mins) Ithaca, NY (2 hr 9 mins) Note to Michigan folks: there are direct Delta flights from Metro Airport (DTW) to Binghamton (BGM) three times daily - and currently at very reasonable prices!
Shuttle
July 28, 2018 9:00 pm - 1:00 am
Cabs in Delhi are scarce, so we are working on a shuttle to take folks home after the festivities at Maple Shade Farm are over. More info to come!
