Question

Where is Islamorda?

Answer

Islamorada is located 85mi south of Miami in The Florida Keys. While everyone has heard of Key West, Islamorada is a lesser known Key but our personal favorite! Known as the sportfishing capital of the world, Islamorada is a classic Keys town that we can't wait to introduce you to.

Question

What are transportation options?

Answer

We know what you're thinking; this seems a little hard to get to! Yes, Islamorada is a little off the beaten path but so worth it once you get there. We highly recommend renting a car from whichever airport you fly into. If you decide not to rent a car, there are taxi & Uber options from Miami or Key West (and plenty to get you around The Keys once you're there). Having you're own transportation to explore South Florida and The Florida Keys is something we find to be valuable and highly recommended!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

All wedding events are being held at (or very close to) The Cheeca Lodge, which offers some of the best resort style accommodation in Islamorada. However, if you would like to explore more cost effective options or would like to consolidate families under one roof, then airbnb or Vrbo have plenty of great choices.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

South Florida in November is a beautiful time of year. The Florida summer over, the afternoon rains have subsided and the temperature typically sits around 75 degrees. With that, Florida can be unpredictable so we suggest packing one or two light layers, your bathing suit and sunblock!

Question

Where will updates be posted?

Answer

Check back here for more updates as we get closer to the date! We cannot wait to celebrate with everyone!
