Question

Am I able to RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

Answer

Once formal invitations are mailed, you will be able to RSVP on our website or by mailing in the RSVP card included in your mailed invitation.

Question

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues? Are they wheelchair accessible?

Answer

The ceremony will be located at 625 7th Ave NE, Hickory, NC 28601. The address will direct to you P.E. Monroe Auditorium on Lenoir-Rhyne University's campus. Upon arrival, you will see Grace Chapel, which is located immediately to the left of the auditorium. There will also be signs to direct you toward the chapel and prevent any confusion. The reception will be located at 74 8th St SE, Hickory, NC 28602. Both locations are wheelchair/handicap accessible.

What can be expected regarding parking?

Answer

For the ceremony, parking will be reserved adjacent to Grace Chapel. Guests may also park in the lots across from the chapel and on the city streets. Handicap parking spaces are available in front of PE Monroe Auditorium. For the reception, there is a large parking lot directly in front of the entrance to 74 South Moretz Mills. Guests are able to utilize that space for parking.

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that you adhere to our semi-formal dress code.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

We invite your children to be a part of our celebration!

Will there be a bar at the reception?

Answer

We will not be having a bar; however, we are thrilled to have Emerson’s Coffee Shop joining us on our special day! To add a cozy touch to our November wedding, they’ll be serving a selection of handcrafted coffee beverages.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We ask that you do not take photos at our ceremony. For this, we have hired an exceptional wedding photographer to capture all the wonderful moments. We just want you to enjoy it with us! For the reception, we encourage guests to post pictures using our hashtag so that we can see them, too!

Who should I contact with questions that come up on your wedding day?

Answer

Because we want to soak up every moment of Our Big Day, we are asking that you refrain from contacting the bride or groom with day-of questions! We have lots of wonderful support and encourage you to reach out to our wedding planner or the Maid of Honor. Contact information can be found at the top of the page.

Will the wedding and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both venues will be located indoors.

Question

What kind of weather should be expected on your wedding day?

Answer

November in North Carolina is quite cold and dry, particularly toward the end of the month. Layers are recommended!

What can I expect after the wedding ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the immediate family and wedding party will be taking pictures for around an hour. Guests can drive over to the reception venue (about 2 minutes away) where coffee and snacks will be served. Details on our wedding day timeline will be available on the website once finalized.
