We're Getting Married!

After completing her graduate education at Wake Forest University, Ashlynn returned to Winston-Salem during the summer for a new job opportunity in clinical research. Shortly after moving, she met Austin through a dating app. Their first conversation was on July 4, 2022. Ashlynn told Austin that she would go on a date with him if he read "The Handmaid's Tale", not expecting him to actually follow through. Austin proceeded to buy the book at a local bookstore that they now frequent together. To this day, Ashlynn has still never read the book.

On the 25th day of each month, Austin and Ashlynn plan a special date to commemorate their relationship. In August of 2022, Austin took Ashlynn to JOLO Winery & Vineyards. Exactly one year later, in August of 2023, they returned for an evening in celebration of each other's love. Shortly into their drive home, Austin received a call from his sister who explained that she and her husband were having car trouble and needed a ride; however, upon arrival, they were nowhere to be found! Austin and Ashlynn walked through Grace Court Park to find a gazebo glowing with candles and awaiting their arrival. It was there that Austin proposed and Ashlynn said "Yes!" to a lifetime together.

Austin and Ashlynn are inseparable and spend nearly every day together. In their spare time, they enjoy cooking, watching crime documentaries, thrift shopping, playing board games, and starting new projects. They are both artists and find joy in painting together, as well as reading in each other's company. Currently, Austin is working as a project coordinator in restaurant supply distribution, while Ashlynn prepares to begin Physician Assistant (PA) School. Austin and Ashlynn share a basset hound named Clark and a black cat named Poe, whom they both love very much.
