The Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill

Only open in the summer, Vecchitto’s is our guilty pleasure on hot summer evenings when we’re filthy after farming. This little treasure of Middletown has delicious Italian ice in all kinds of delightful flavors.

Cocktails, snacks, and a once a month brunch! Harrie’s is walking distance from our house (uphill both ways) and we love their yummy food and fun cocktails. Their outdoor patio is a nice spot to hang after a long day outside.

Our "let's meet for drinks" first date ended up lasting hours and we decided to stay for dinner too. Enjoy a drink out on their patio and soak up some sunshine!

Truthfully, we go to this beach more in the winter than summer, but it's even nicer when it's warm out. Grab some yums at Lenny & Joe's in Madison if you're in the mood for seafood!

Hammonasset Beach State Park

We all scream for ice cream, especially on hot days of farming. Enjoy a sweet treat and then a scenic drive down to the sound!

If you're looking for a lazy walkabout with beautiful flowers we'd recommend a visit to Elizabeth Park. If you really want it to feel like a day with us grab a can of coke, add some rum, and enjoy the walk even more!
