There are many unique and fun bars and restaurants in Downtown Gilbert. Dillon and I go to Postinos a lot for wine/beer and lunch. Happy hour is open to 5 with $5 wine and $5 pitchers of beer. If you like country music vibes, theres the Dierks Bentley bar, Whisey Row. You'll find country music and backyard games! If you are in the mood for street tacos and margaritas, Barrio Queen has a great selection! In the mood for a quick on the go burrito and prickly pear ice cream? Visit Topos! It's affiliated with Joe's Farm Grille, a BBQ joint right across the next to Whiskey Row and across from Postinos!
You can plan a two hour or four hour kayak trip down the Salt River. The Saguaro Lake Ranch provides the kayak at the beginning of the river and will pick you up at certain stopping points and bring you back to the ranch. The trip down the river isn't hard. Dillon and I went down the two hour trip and it was so great I took my mom down the four hour trip. Highly recommened the four hour trip! It isn't a hard trip, most the time the river takes you. The last mile of the four hour trip is the "hardest" because it is a stretch of none moving water that you actually have to paddle the entire way. The entire four hour kayak trip is 13-14 miles. You can enjoy the wild horses, otters, cranes, ducks, fish and so much more!
