When will Curacao reopen its borders to U.S. Tourists?

Answer

Beginning January 1, 2021, Curacao will no longer restrict entry from certain U.S. states for those travelers who comply with all other requirements (https://www.curacao.com/en/questions/health-and-vaccinations/response-to-novel-coronavirus-covid-19). *** Effective January 26, all airline passengers to the United States ages two years and older must provide a negative COVID-19 viral test taken within three calendar days of travel. Alternatively, travelers to the U.S. may provide documentation from a licensed health care provider of having recovered from COVID-19 in the 90 days preceding travel. When should I request my passport?

Answer

Typically, processing a new passport takes up to a couple of months, but also depends on the time of year as well. Let them know that they can get all of the most up to date information at travel.state.gov. Processing Times: Apply now for routine service and expect to receive a passport in 10-12 weeks*. Pay an additional $60 if you want to expedite your passport in 4-6 weeks. These processing times apply to applications submitted by mail and in-person at an acceptance facility in your community. Most acceptance facilities such as post offices, clerks of court, and libraries are open and accepting passport applications. Apply by mail when possible because it is a safe, contactless option for certain services. When should I book my reservation?

We encourage you to make your reservation first, and as soon as possible. In order to book your hotel stay, you simply need to put down a deposit and can make the remaining payments in increments leading up to the final payment date (airline deposits and payment schedules will vary).

Is there transportation to and from the Hato International Airport to the resort?

Answer

We understand that navigating in an unfamiliar territory can be difficult. Because we want all of our guests to have a stress-free experience, we will be offering shuttle service to and from the Dreams Curacao Resort, Spa & Casino from the Hato International Airport for our wedding weekend. Upon arrival in Curacao after clearing customs, look for the "Welcome to Curacao" sign and directly underneath you will see an Amstar DMC Representative wearing the blue-flowered Amstar shirt waiting to greet you inside the terminal building. Departures: Your driver will pick you up from the lobby of your hotel two hours early on the day of your departure. Please provide your travel itinerary to us as soon as possible to ensure transportation is properly coordinated. COMING SOON: Individual Boarding Passes will be provided as we get closer to our departure dates.
