Travel Note
Martha's Vineyard is an Island - therefore all travel will need to be done via the Steamship Authority (SSA) or the Martha's Vineyard Airport (MVY) unless you have access to floo powder or have learned to apparate.
Travel Note
Seriously, if you want to bring your car over, don't wait too long to book your SSA reservation.

Travel Note
1. If you're taking your car on the Steamship Ferry, make sure you arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure -- they will leave without you. 2. The food on the ferries is actually pretty good -- I've never eaten it, but I hear good things about the clam chowder. 3. Driving here is different -- There aren't any traffic lights, and if you arrive in Vineyard Haven, your first obstacle is a 5-way intersection. Vineyard courtesy dictates that even those with the right-of-way will stop to let people in sporadically, but just bang a right and take the scenic way to your destination. 4. If you get stuck behind a moped, just give up. Don't even try to go around them. Take the time to get organized and plan your day -- at 30 mph. I wrote this list while I was stuck behind a moped. 5. Everything closes before 9PM, and nobody delivers anything. Bars might be open later than 9 -- I can't stay up that late anymore so I don't know.
