We suggest flying into Tulum Airport (TQO). It's a brand-new airport that is located about 40 minutes from the hotel. Another option is flying into Cancun, but the drive can be long if traffic is bad.
Travel Note
We suggest booking a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Uber is NOT available in Tulum. There are taxis you can schedule, but be sure to confirm all pricing beforehand. Tulum airport charges a $60 tax for drivers to pick you up from the airport, so keep that in mind. It's usually included in the pricing. OPTION #1: Book directly through the hotel. Ahau offers airport transport. Inquire directly with the hotel concierge for pricing. Travel Note
Most places are within walking distance and cabs are not needed. But in case you would like to take a cab, bring cash with you. They accept US dollars. ALWAYS ask how much the cab ride is before getting in. Drivers are known to tax tourists and you don't want to be surprised when arriving somewhere. Some drivers accept credit cards for a fee. Travel Note
Tulum is still a growing city. While some places will have free Wi-Fi, it is best you download offline Google Maps of Tulum so that, in case you don't have cell service, you can still get around easily. Download WhatsApp before leaving the states. This is the most reliable way to communicate in Tulum. Wi-Fi will be available at the hotel.

The primary hotel has a wedding block for April 3-6. Here is how to book: 1. Click the "View" button below to be taken directly to the Ahau Hotel booking website with the dates pre-filled (April 3-6, 2025), language set for English, and currency set for USD. 2. A popup will appear, stating there isn't any availability because dates are closed to the general public. Close this window, navigate to the menu bar that says "Coupon," and enter our code: Isabel&Brett. 3. Pick your room and click "Reserve." 4. Add the number of guests and click "Add." 5. In the bottom right, a pop-up will appear with your selection and the subtotal. Click "Continue." 6. You will then see options for Extras, Dining, and Wellness. None of these are required. Click "Continue" in the bottom right-hand pop-up. 7. Enter your personal information and payment method, agree to the opt-in checkboxes, and click "Add" at the bottom of the page. That's it! *Confused about the price of your room? The website will display prices with the initial 10% wedding block discount already applied. Additionally, there is another 50% discount that WILL NOT BE DISPLAYED. When you go through checkout, you will pay 50% of the listed price, and the invoice will tell you that you will owe another 50% upon check-in. YOU WILL NOT BE REQUIRED TO PAY THIS SECOND 50%.
