Q&A

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. This means suit and tie for men, and a cocktail dress for women. Keep in mind that our ceremony is in a Catholic church!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Houston weather is unpredictable, especially in December. It could be anywhere from 30 to 85 degrees! Please check the weather in the days leading up to the wedding to ensure you pack appropriately. But don't worry, the ceremony and reception are both indoors.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 3pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior. Allow extra time to arrive, as the church is located in a busy part of town and it will be Christmas time so traffic will probably be worse than usual.

Question

Can I take photos?

Answer

We have hired professionals to photograph and video the ceremony and reception, and they are very good at what they do! We respectfully ask for no photo or video during the ceremony. During the reception, feel free to take photo and video!

Question

How do I get from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

The Houston Club is about a 15-20 minute drive from the church. When you get to the Houston Club, there will be free parking under the building. Take the elevator to the 48th floor. On floor 48 you will switch elevators to get to the reception which is on the 49th floor. If you plan on drinking, we recommend taking an uber or having a designated driver, for everyone's safety! Alternatively, if you are staying at one of our hotel blocks, consider driving back to your hotel first and then walking or ubering to The Houston Club!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are only able to invite the children in our immediate family. We hope that the advance notice allows you time to make childcare arrangements so you can celebrate our special day with us!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation specifically states the name of your date or "and guest" then you may bring one! We are unable to accommodate extra guests that are not explicitly invited. If you are still unsure, please contact the bride or groom.

Question

What happens if I need to change my RSVP after the due date?

Answer

We completely understand that life happens and plans can change. Please let us know ASAP if your RSVP response has changed so we can have an accurate head count!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! There will also be a police officer present for everyone's safety.

Question

Where are y'all registered?

Answer

We are registered at Amazon, Crate and Barrel, Target, and Zola. There is a link to our registries on this website and you can purchase gifts directly through this page.
