Great to walk across or get some great pics at a scenic look out, like Baker Beach (arksconservancy.org/parks/baker-beach). You can take the cal Cal Train to/from San Jose. We’d recommend the Diridon station
Alcatraz Island
A must see for the history lover! Take the ferry out to this historic prison and learn about famous people who stayed here and about the condition and experience of other prisoners

Santa Cruz
For those who want to work on their tans, hit up some fun carnival-style rides and get funnel cake. A classic bay-area beach spot with something for everyone. While you’re in the area, you can check out the famous Mystery Spot.

Monterey Bay Aquarium
If you like aquariums I highly recommend you check out the Monterey Bay aquarium. You can hit up some wine bars and check out the super cute down town while you're in the area

If you like technology and or museums this is a super cool spot to check out in down town San Jose. You can hit up some local bars or grab some dinner while you're down there as well

Located just 5 minutes from the reception venue, this is a great option for local hiking

Los Gatos
A great little town to walk around in. For a bit of nature, check out Los Gatos Creek Trail or Vasona Lake Park.
Campbell
There’s a bunch of great restaurants and shopping in Campbell. My top recommendations are: Orchard City Kitchen, frozen swirl margaritas at Aquí, Sushi Confidential, Opa for Greek and cupcakes at Frost.
Willow Glen
Another great area for shopping and restaurants. Top recommendations are: The Table, Mimosas cafe for brunch, All Natural Day Spa for massage, facials and/or sauna.
Berkeley
If you fly into Oakland we’d recommend stopping by Berkeley. An iconic Bay Area town with lots of tasty food, coffee and drink options. We recommend Cheeseboard or Jupiter for pizza, Fieldwork brewing company, and Imm Thai Street Food.

For those who are looking for a one-of-a-kind fine dining experience.
Lake Merritt
If you fly into Oakland and want to check out some sites before heading into San Jose this is a great spot for a walk. You can take the Bart to/from San Jose for easy access.
Napa Valley
For those who are interested in taking a day trip, Napa Valley is just under 2 hours from San Jose. A great spot for great wine, beautiful views and a famous Calistoga mud bath. If you don’t want to drive all the way to Napa, check out a full day tour departing from San Francisco. One option is linked here.
