The Lake
Candlewood Lake is a lake located in Fairfield and Litchfield counties in Western Connecticut. It is the largest lake in Connecticut and the largest lake within a 60 mile radius of New York City. The lake is bordered by the city of Danbury on the south, and the towns of Brookfield, New Fairfield, New Milford, and Sherman.
The bride and groom will be spending several days up at the lake before and after the wedding, including the 4th of July. We invite our friends and family to consider spending a few days to enjoy all that the lake and surrounding area has to offer, including water sports, swimming, hiking and New England villages.
Most brand name hotels are located in Danbury, Connecticut at the south end of the lake. The bride and groom and members of their family will be staying at various properties in the Brookfield area, including at least one home that is waterfront, which our guests are welcome to use for direct access to the lake.
