There is no lack of things to do in CDMX. From world class museums to quality food on every street corner, the abundance of culture is overwhelming. We had our first date at the Palacio de Bellas Artes (pictured above) and walked around much of the Zócalo. For recommendations on the best food, pulque, mezcal, Cuban cigars, or other things simply ask Brant or Celia. Bring sunscreen.
The subway and light rail system is extremely easy to navigate and is very cheap to ride. However, we ask that guests avoid it during rush hours in the morning and late afternoon as it can be very packed. Riding on the weekends is much easier.
Ubers are better than taxis to get around the city. Should you feel the need to take a taxi then please find out the rate an Uber would charge you for the same route and negotiate that before the ride begins. Taxis are cash only, no credit cards.
This is a cash-heavy economy, be sure to exchange dollars for pesos at the airport, or use an ATM to take out pesos.

The beating heart of the city, the Zócalo is the central plaza of what was once México-Tenochtitlán and remains the center of political and cultural life in the country. Here one can view the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral, Museo del Templo Mayor, and the many walkable streets in the area.
