FAQs

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Taylor or Branden until the big day and then please contact one of the Jasper Winery staff members if you have any trouble finding the event space.
Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 10-15 minutes before the ceremony starts. We want to be able to start right on time so we can dance and celebrate the rest of the night.

Question

What is the address for the ceremony and reception? Are they wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Jasper Winery. 2400 George Flagg Parkway, Des Moines, IA 50321 Yes, this is wheelchair accessible.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please use the QR code on your invitation or by clicking the RSVP tab in the menu above. Make sure you are RSVPing no later than 3 to 4 weeks before the wedding.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We will have the ceremony outside by the grape vines and the reception indoors. If rain occurs, then we will have both the ceremony and reception inside Jasper. We have reserved the indoor space and big party tent for either occurrence.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. We will be having the ceremony and reception at Jasper Winery so there is no need to move your vehicle once you arrive. There is plenty of parking for everybody in front of the building and behind the building as well.

Question

Will I need to bring cash?

Answer

We will have a cash bar available and will be doing dollar dances during the reception.

Question

What time will the wedding reception end?

Answer

We will have the space until 11:45pm. We won't be able to stay any later than that so please plan accordingly.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The ceremony and part of the reception will be held outside so please plan according to the weather. Invites should have said dressy casual not cocktail.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

If they are on your RSVP, we highly encourage you bring them! Kids will help take the pressure off the couple a little by providing even more entertainment on the dance floor.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please put that on your RSVP so we know how many people to accommodate.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are currently registered at Amazon but feel free to explore the registry tab here on our website.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes, anybody can bring a date. Please mention their name on your RSVP

Question

What type of food and drink will be served at the reception?

Answer

Pasta with optional alfredo or marinara sauce as well as ground beef or ground turkey for protein, salad and garlic bread. We are planning on having a late night snack as well (to be announced later). Wine and beer will be served by the winery staff. They will stop serving alcohol after 11:30pm. Hard liquor is not allowed on-site and any outside alcohol will be confiscated and you will be fined.

Question

Are pets allowed?

Answer

No, unless you have a service dog.

Question

What do I do if I am late to the ceremony?

Answer

If you are late to the ceremony, please do not walk down the aisle and try to find a seat. While we want all of our family and friends there, we would appreciate if you would ask the ushers quietly to see if they have spots available or wait to join us until the reception. Thank you for understanding.

Question

How does seating work?

Answer

The ceremony will be open seating except 2 tables that will be marked "Reserved" directly in front of the head table. Please feel free to sit anywhere you like otherwise.

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

Absolutely! We only request that guests remain seated during our ceremony and remain respectful of our photographers so that they are able to capture all our special moments.
