This is our first picture together as a couple, taken at Brian’s apartment. Nicole was FREEZING, but was afraid to tell Brian because she didn’t want to be difficult.

When we rode the motorcycle for the first time together, we had to merge onto the highway right ahead of a military convoy. It made for quick acceleration, which Brian loved and Nicole did not.

Maverick made fast friends with Brian - clearly cats are great judges of character.

On our second date, we made a wager on a game of Scrabble: whoever lost had to plan the next date. When you play Scrabble with an English teacher…obviously Brian planned the next date: a scuba class!

Brian was an excellent umbrella holder for the paddle boats in Forest Park!

Brian’s always been a big hockey fan, so Nicole got tickets for his birthday - this was our first hockey game together!

On a trip to Indiana to celebrate the end of the 2021 cross country season, we went to a drive through animal park! At least Brian humors Nicole’s love of animals!

We’ve been on many bicycle rides, but this was certainly the coldest! 42 degrees!

The Garden Glow at the Botanical Gardens is one of Nicole’s favorite Christmas traditions, and it was wonderful to be able to share it with Brian.

We’ve played a lot of rounds of disc golf, and usually someone’s (Nicole’s) disc ends up where it isn’t supposed to be…

Nicole had never been skiing before she met Brian, so obviously he had to take her to Colorado to tackle the slopes!

Ollie was a harder sell, but even he made friends with Brian eventually!

He didn’t know it yet, but we we were going to catch the bouquet and garter at Jessica’s wedding in just a few hours!

We are always thankful for fun times with good friends!

In the summer of 2022, we took a weekend trip to Chicago. Brian told Nicole to keep her nails nice and bring a dress, so obviously she thought he was going to propose. He didn’t.

Our last meal as boyfriend and girlfriend was also the first meal that Brian cooked for a date: fish tacos!

Nicole said, “Yes!” about four times before Brian ever finished asking the question.
