FAQs

Question

Any colors guests should NOT wear?

Answer

Please refrain from wearing white (does not include men’s dress shirts) or all black.

Question

When should guests arrive to wedding ceremony?

Answer

15 mins-30 mins ahead of start time. Elevators and Stairs available. Ceremony is on the 4th floor of the venue. We will start on time. Once the ceremony has begun the doors will be closed. There will be plenty parking. Late arrivals will be respectfully asked to wait for the start of the cocktail hour. We would love for you to stay and have a good time with us after the ceremony should something unexpected cause you to arrive late to the ceremony.

Question

When should guest RSVP by?

Answer

Formal invitations are sent promptly as of 03/26/2024. All guests should RSVP as soon as possible or by the deadline which is Saturday, May 25, 2024. Please RSVP No Later than Saturday, May 25, 2024

Question

Will we have to travel for reception, if any?

Answer

There will be a reception in the same venue as the Ceremony :) We are going to have a ball!!!

Question

Can guests show up with other guests who did not RSVP, or were not invited or not already approved?

Answer

Oh while we have the hearts, we simply do not have the resources. We wish we could but we cannot. Everything is paid by guest count which is why we rely heavily on RSVPS. All plus one's were included in invites. In the rare event we honestly intended to send an invite and it was missed, we will make up for it and make that exception. Otherwise, guest who did not RSVP should be approved by Wedding Planner who will have specific instructions to follow or may be subject to be unfortunately turned away due to costs efficiency, seating, food preparation, etc. Significant others or kids the age of 16 or older would have been included on the invite and included with RSVP.

Question

Can guests arrive late?

Answer

NO guests, regardless if a part of wedding party and/or regardless of relationship to bride or groom, will not be able to enter ceremony after it has begun and doors have been shut, regardless of reason. You will be directed to the cocktail area where other guest will join you after the Ceremony while the Bride, Groom and Wedding party take photos.

Question

Smoking section?

Answer

There are no smoking sections indoors. The Venue is downtown High Point, NC and is basically in the backyard of a baseball field and plenty of places you may walk offsite to smoke.

Question

Bar?

Answer

There will be a cash bar and there will be an opportunity for one free alcoholic beverage drink per guest. Drink responsibly. There will be security provided by the venue. We do have THE infamous Mason Jar Group attending for all bar needs.

Question

Parking?

Answer

Parking is free & plentiful :) It is very much accessible if following directions. Note: Park in the parking lot with the Teal Tank attached to the building that says Congdon Yards in white letters. If you are not good with one way streets please go over GPS route ahead of time as the venue is downtown High Point, NC with several one way streets. Please, let's be very mindful and thoughtful and leave the handicap open for those who actually need handicap and not just because you have a borrowed or expired handicap sticker :) We do have family and friends who could truly use a handicap spot which makes the ramp easily accessible to the entrancee and elevators as the ceremony is on the 4th floor.

Question

Security?

Answer

The venue has security. Please don't bring anything inside that will be hazardous or viewed as a weapon. Please be mindful. If you wear all black, you will be going back to the crib :) Security will be aware. It matters not what your relationship is to the bride or the groom. Please do not show up in all black or please do not show up in white. Thanks in advance. We will NOT bend on this under any circumstances.

Question

Is this a Kid Friendly Wedding?

Answer

No. We respectfully ask that you make arrangements for your children ahead of time. This is a kid free wedding with the exception of the children in the wedding party or children apart of your family 16 or older who were included with the invite. We want to celebrate with you and allow you to do so as well kid free :) Please treat this as a date night. We also have a set guest count to not exceed budget and planning. Thanks for understanding:) Come ready to have a good kid free time!
