Train

Getting From Paris to Lesconil

Option 1: CDG > Montparnasse Station (Train) > Quimper +3.5HRS from Paris The most tried and true way is to arrive in Paris at Charles de Gaulle Airport (Orly Airport works too) and to take a taxi, Uber or the metro Montparnasse Station in Paris and to catch the train to Quimper. Airport taxis have fixed fees so a ride from the airport to Montparnasse Station is about $35 Euros from Orly and about $60 Euros from CDG. An Uber will be more expensive and more complicated to catch from the airport. From Quimper station you can call a taxi or rent a car at one of standard car rental agencies a 5 minute walk from the train station. The drive to Lesconil is about 30 minutes from there. *A Note on Rental Cars* It's preferable to have a car to get to Lesconil for grocery runs or side adventures. You can rent a car near the train station in Quimper, but keep in mind the agencies close around 5 or 6PM. The town is small and walkable, but a car is needed to leave town or to get access to drugstores, groceries and restaurants. There are only a few small restaurants and a bakery in Lesconil. To book train tickets download the SNCF Connect App or click the link below to view the website. Getting to and from the wedding venue: There will be a mini-bus shuttle picking up in the Port of Lesconil 06/26 taking guests to and from the venue the day of the wedding and reception. You are also welcome to drive your rental car or carpool to the venue and there will be parking during the wedding. The morning after brunch will be back at the venue, Manoir Kerouzien and will not have a shuttle service that day so carpooling or calling a taxi is recommended. Mini Bus Schedule TBD.

Flight

On Flying vs Driving

Option 2: CDG > Brest (Flight) > Quimper 2HRS+ from Paris You can also fly into Brittany via the Brest Airport. Quimper also has an airport but unfortunately it doesn't connect in Paris. The Brest Airport is about an hour drive to Lesconil. Flights into Brest will be more expensive than flights into Paris, and you will likely have to wait for your connection in Paris for an hour or longer. At that point you could be halfway there on the train! We prefer option one on the train but understand that it could be logistically simpler for some folks. Option 3. Rent a Car from Paris & Road Tripping. 6.5 HRS from Paris. The longest option by far but the scenic route if you choose to road trip along the way.

Hotel

Hotel Du Port

This hotel is in the little port near where Chris's family's home is. We'll be centering the weekends events right around this spot so this hotel and surrounding Airbnb's are a good place to look for lodging!

Travel Note

Olympics

Exciting or not...the 2024 Summer Olympics will be taking place in France starting July 14th. Feel free to schedule your trip to factor this in or out of your plans. Book flights and lodging as early as possible!
