Named for the flame-haired sorceress who adorns Mcmenamins’ bottled Ruby Ale, the spa casts a spell of contentment over all who enter.
Loosely based on the mythic links described in Michael Murphy's novel Golf in the Kingdom, the two par-3 Pub Courses (12 holes & 20 holes) meander throughout the Edgefield property, winding in and around thickets of blackberry bushes, all the while offering panoramic views of the Columbia River.
The sparkle on Ruby's gem is the outdoor, heated soaking pool, open exclusively to overnight hotel guests and those with spa appointments. This freeform oasis, set in private surroundings behind the spa, is filled with soft, buoyant saltwater that's heated to a comfortable 102 degrees.
The former boiler room for the old poor farm is now a welcoming theater with deluxe sound and new releases on screen. Relax in the theater while you snack from the full pub menu or classic concessions, paired with a handcrafted beverage.
