"What is this beautiful beach backdrop I'm seeing all over this website?" someone's probably asking. Great question. It's called Point of Rocks Beach and it's where Tucker spent idyllic summers as a child and where he now brings Blair, who goes there & tries to fight crabs.
Google tells us The Brewster Store "stocks a very large assortment of oil lamps, oil lamp chimneys, hurricane globes, oil lamp shades and hard-to-find oil lamp parts." This is an overrepresentation of their oil lamp products and an underrepresentation of the fact that it is a charming country store with everything from homemade fudge to kitschy shark magnets. But if you're in the market for oil lamp shades, we're certainly not going to stop you.
What would a wedding weekend be without a hipster coffee shop? This one has all the good clichés (tasty java, cozy seats, books everywhere) and none of the bad ones (aloof baristas—the ones here are very friendly!).
A staple stop for any trip to Brewster. Bonus: The space is shared with Attorney at Law Marrion Hobbs. Pop in, browse the shelves, get legal advice!
"Come for the walks, stay for the birds," is not this park's official motto, but it could be. Take a quick hike—and a whiff of that rare combo of pine & algae—as you stroll through the trails that wind around their many ponds. Bonus: There are campgrounds here, too, if indoor sleeping isn't really your thing.
Margaritas. Fish tacos. Regular tacos. Outdoor seating. Are you on your way yet? We go here all the time. Get the El Spano Loco Burrito if you like fried fish & feeling blissfully full.
Imagine a country barn with live music & a 50/50 split of 20-somethings and 70-somethings drinking & dancing together, transcending age, time & space. Open your eyes. Welcome to The Shed. Welcome to paradise.
Did you forget to pack something to wear to the wedding? We've been there. And now you can say you've been there about the Brewster Thrift Store. Stop by to peruse their funky selection of menswear, womenswear, and housewares, and you might end up crowned Best Dressed at the reception.
In search of a fancy meal? This is the spot. It's a funky house with awesome cuisine. Their Lobster Pizza is as good as it sounds. Point of Clarity: Be sure to eat/reserve at the BISTRO and/or BAR, NOT the dining room—the Dining Room Menu is twice as expensive. That said, if you're eager for a big night out, by all means do the Dining Room! P.S. The New York Times says "Chillingsworth is regarded as the best restaurant on Cape Cod." And this might be the only quote on our website that is real.
