FAQs

The Wedding Website of Blaine Eakes and Mollie Ebner
Question

Can I just come for the day?

Answer

No, we are requesting that all guests arrive during the designated arrival time and leave at the designated exit time. If you must arrive late or leave early, you will be responsible for moving your gear the 2 miles to or from camp. Westwind does not allow people to hike in the dark so plan accordingly.

Question

What if I'm just not that comfortable in the outdoors?

Answer

We understand that this is asking a lot of some people. If you do not feel comfortable or excited about this event we get it; no pressure! We would be excited to celebrate with you at another time.

Question

Do I have to sleep in a cabin?

Answer

No. If you would like to set up a tent please let us know. There are camp sites down by the beach.

Question

Is there electricity or heat in the cabins?

Answer

All cabins are heated and have electric outlets. Please, for the sake of everyone else in your cabin, bring your CPAP.

Question

Do I need to bring a sleeping bag?

Answer

We will be providing bedding for people sleeping in cabins. This will include a sheet, a blanket and a towel. If you would like to bring your own, please let us know.

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

See "Packing List" page

Question

What’s the bathroom situation?

Answer

There is one communal bathroom by the main lodge. There are 3 showers on either side and multiple toilet stalls. There is ample sink and mirror space and they are heated to a delightful 75 degrees. There are composting toilets in proximity to every cabin for late night bathroom needs. Photos can be reviewed in the photo section.

Question

What if I have a food allergy?

Answer

The kitchen at Westwind is set up to accommodate food allergies, all meals will have options prepared for peoples allergies, as denoted in the rsvp. In order to limit food waste, please be specific about foods you cannot eat. All food is prepared in the same kitchen, so it will be processed in proximity. If you have an epi pen, please bring that with you.
