Douro Valley: the heart of Portugal’s wine region (only 1.5 hours away and can be done on a day trip!).
Get lost walking in the Ribeira district, stopping to eat, and then walk across the Luis I Bridge for the bird’s eye view and sip your way through hundreds of years old port lodges.
